Zelenskyy says the meeting is ‘good’ despite the Ukrainian Stance Shift – National

The President of Ukraine VolOdymyr Zensenskyy says that his tense meeting with US President Donald Trump last week ‘was that he did not defend tomowawk missiles to fight against Russia.
In comments to reporters on Sunday and released until Monday morning, Zelenskyy asserted that Trump revived the long-term opportunities that sent the Russian mininoli Vladimir Putin hours before the meeting on Friday.
Trump on Friday called on Kyiv and Moscow to “stop where they are” and end the war.
“In my opinion, he does not want to expand with the Russians until he meets them,” said Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy said he hoped Trump’s meeting in the coming weeks with Putin in Hungary – which does not support Ukraine – would pave the way for a peace deal. Their first convention of the current Trump name was in Alaska in August.
Zelenskyy said that he was not invited to go but that he would consider it if the format of the talks was suitable for Kyav.
He also took a stab at the Government of Prime Minister Viktor Orgnal, saying that he does not believe that the prime minister “who blocks Ukraine everywhere can do anything good for Ukraine or give a balanced contribution.”

Zelenskyy said that he thinks that all the parties are “getting closer” to the end of the war.
“That doesn’t mean it will definitely end, but President Trump has achieved a lot in the Middle East, and riding the wave he wants to end the war between Russia and Ukraine,” he added.
Ukraine is hoping to buy Patriot Air Defense systems from US firms using collateral and help from allies, but Zelenskyy said finding out it would take time because of the long manufacturing process. He said he talked to Trump about getting them as soon as possible, possibly from European allies.
Zelenskyy said that the United States is interested in Ukraine-Ukraine gas projects, including the construction of an LNG terminal in the southern city of Odesa. Other projects of interest include those related to nuclear power and oil.
