With talks of restricted contracts, Starbucks Baristas Rally in LA

Starbucks workers met with two Los Angels Angeles shops for the weekend at an effort to optimize the company to restore contracted contracts this year.

“We try to allow Starbucks to know that our words should be heard and should be informed,” said Hadie Muru, a 22-year-old manager in the Miloli Mile.

The employee’s protest arrives after the announcement this week is that the Starbucks arrived to close hundreds of stores and put workers closely with 1,000 workers as part of the conversion effort.

It also comes after the employees bring legal action at the beginning of this month against the Coffee Coffee Code chain – requiring withdrawing black staff to buy new clothes.

Employees, sponsored by Union, filed charges against the costume code in Illinois and Coloois and Complaint with the California staff agencies and Califorce Development Agency.

Contract statements with the company broke down in December. In February, Kingdom intervals were brought to resolve the dispute, but a little progress was made. In April, the union voted to refuse the recent coffee proposal that announced annually would not fall less than 2%.

Since then, the union has been asking for the company to return to the negotiating table, but there were months, Michelle Easen, Starbucks spokesman.

EIsen said new policies such as the revised uniform and handwriting requirements in cups of coffee labeled outside the company that discussed union well – and that the workers prepared a strike if necessary.

This is a warning gun. “The workers will not get anything,” said Esen, “the receiver said. “What you see this week is just the beginning of what employees are willing to participate. It should be taken seriously by the company.”

The Starbucks indicate that the union should be accused of combined contractual expressions by traveling away from the last winter conversations. The company identifies that the demands of the Union is not complete, and the company has already provides a competitive payback and benefits.

Starbucks spokesman Jacici said I emailed the company that the company offers 18 weeks at the parent break and “benefits that lead to the industry that added about $ 30 an hour.”

Anderson These components help the company “Keep the recorded benefit and make Starbucks site other partners recommend as a good place to work.”

The Starbucks Union fetched the announcement of this week of the shop closing, arguing that it was the latest example of the company of the company Brian Niccol to make big decisions “with zero bero bero bero ipf.”

The Union said it is still a detail that many stores will be affected by a fixed closure.

Niccol did not say how many stores were closed, but the company said to finish its financial year for nearly 18,300 stores across the US and Canada. Since June 29, the company had 18,734 stores.

Starbucks Worker United represents 12,000 workers in some 650 coffee stores. Their memberships symbolize about 5% of US Starbucks staff, according to the company.
