Helicopters hovered above and cooler cars passed through the surf as the marines charged the beach to open the event. Second lady Usha Vance accompanied her husband to watch the display while families covered their eyes and Ospreys took off overhead.

General Eric Smith, commandant of the Marine Corps, told the crowd that what they were seeing was the sound and sight of freedom. He also described the corps as America’s “911 Force” and warned that marchers must be ready for whatever comes next.
“The next fight is coming,” he said. “Marines you will be ready. You are ready to fight. You are ready to win.”
The next fight is coming. The Marines will be ready. Ready to fight. Ready to win.
“When it matters most, it’s not the technology or the equipment that wins the day, but the reliability, determination and character of the sailor or the sailors who run it,” Smith said. He ended by thanking the families and giving a blessing for their sacrifice.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth then delivered one of the most eloquent addresses of the day. A COMBATT veteran himself, he told the marchers that the Corps stood firm when others shook hands.
“I shouldn’t say this, I really don’t. But I think you guys might be my favorite,” Hegseth said.
He tied the corpses to the broad administrative subject of America, silence with power, and common sense at all times. Hegseth reminded the crowd that while many different faces fill the ranks, unity of mission is the corps’ true strength.
“The truth is, your diversity is not your strength. It never has been. It’s in your share of the constitution. You’re on loan. You’ve made it.
The crowd erupted when Vance took the stage.
He began: “God bless you, marines.” it was arranged backwards. He immediately reminded them that he is the first marine to hold the Office of the President of the Republic. “From one country to another, thank you for your service,” he said.
“I have to give a special shout out to the amazing display we saw earlier today. It made my heart sing,” said my heart. “As your Vice President, it was also to decorate the core strength and invincible power. It reminded me why I am proud to wear the uniform, and to be the first president of the United States Marine.”
Vance used his speech to honor heroes, remember the fallen and reflect on his service. He presented the medal of honor for SGT. Dakota Meyer who served in Afghanistan, Navy Corpsman Charles Cram who helped raise the flag on Iwo Jima, and Zavy Aviator Elmer Royce Williams who survived the longest hibernation in American history.

The Vice President mixed in the humor by making fun of certain marines who were quickly recognized. He poked fun at the “E-4 4 Mafia” and shared a story about a gunnery sergeant who once saved him from signing a 22% car loan that was used to move him to Navy Federal Credit Union.
“That Gunny leadership could have saved me money,” Venance said. “It taught me that marines look out for each other.”
Vance’s words include a story from boot camp. Hiring on line for Catholic or Protestant church services, referred to a third person as, “Hiring,” and said: “He called himself an agnostic.
“Get in line Catholics,” the drill instructor snapped. That punchling, venced derisively, “won’t work in bid management.”
Vance also took aim at Democrats in Congress over the federal government, promising that the administration will fight to ensure that the enlisted marines are paid.
“We’re going to do everything we can to make sure that the marines who have been drafted are paid,” he said. “The political battles in Washington should not come at the expense of soldiers and their families.”

He tied the knot for 250 years in return for the opening of the Tun Tavern in Philadelphia in 1775. Wally Wood and Halmand, told the audience that all generations of corpses share the same purpose.
“Every single person here is bleeding sea urchins,” Venance said. “It’s our common goal that carries us forward.”
Every single person here is giving the marine corps green.
Vance reminded the East Coast Marines swimming the sand dunes at Parris Island that their responsibility is the same as those climbing the hills of California. He was talking about his pride in wearing the mares uniform and closed with the words he heard before but he accepted it on his birthday.
“Keep kicking a–. Keep taking names. Semper Fidelis, Marines. Happy 250th birthday
