Winston Love Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $37K in Goods, Mostly LEGO Products

Target is rolling out an accessible decision for blind customers to all of its stores by 2026.
Police arrested a man on Friday who is accused of breaking into nearly a dozen stores in Texas – primarily Lego commercials.
Police in Watauga said on Sunday that the 28-year-old love of Winston is suspected of stealing from 23 stores over the past two months in 14 cities, mainly around the Dallas Area, stealing $37,000.
Love, who was later found guilty of eight outstanding warrants and illegal narcotics, is also suspected of being part of a larger operation spanning Texas and Oklahoma, primarily involving tens of thousands of dollars worth of Lego products, officials said.
“Mr. Love is also believed to be part of an organized food ring operating in Texas and Oklahoma, Irviel, Irvis, Arlisvine, Eussueld, Arlington, Mansfield, Temple and Harker Heights.

Authorities described the act of love as “incredibly Brazsen,” noting that he would be out of stores with Lego sales, according to FOX 4.
“It’s amazing. When you watch the video of each person, he’s actually going to shop at the store, and he’s just going to put anybody in, he’s going to disrespect anybody, he’s going to disrespect anybody, he’s going to stop him,” said Latauga’s manager.
“It’s easy to sell those products online at almost their retail value, so the risk of comparing them is worth it,” Lewis said.

Love was killed this past Friday following a rock call in Watauga.
Authorities said officers responded to reports of a theft at a Target store where Love allegedly made off with $1,200 worth of merchandise and fled the scene before management arrived.
Officers located the suspect shortly after the robbery and, following a brief surprise, convinced him to surrender peacefully. He was arrested without incident.

Love was found to have multiple outstanding warrants for theft-related charges from multiple rural areas, including Tarrant, Dallas and Rockall Counties, police said.
He was charged with Felony State Theft and transported to the North Richland Hills Detention Center.
