‘We should have been informed before’ – Spain manager chastises Barcelona on Lamine Yamal’s withdrawal
Spain manager Luis de La Fuente has criticized Barcelona’s handling of Lamine Yamal’s treatment, confirming that he and the national team were not allowed to go through the process on Monday morning. After being called up on Friday, Lamine Yamal played 91 minutes against Celta Vigo, but then underwent radiofrequency treatment to deal with his sports hernia.
That only appeared on Tuesday morning, and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) issued a statement expressing ‘claim and concern’ after removing the lamin yamal from international sources. De La Fuente himself then commented that he had ‘never experienced anything like that’. In a recent interview with Cadena Cope, he confirmed again that La Roja was not aware of his treatment.

‘We need an improved dialogue’ – de la funte
De La Fuente gave three interviews on the matter after the story, explaining that it is not up to him to solve the matter.
