Virginia Democrats who have been blasting redistricting reforms are now launching a constitutional amendment to allow them to redraw US state district maps – Critics are back saying they are undermining their 2020 push for an independent commission.
The Legislature was caught red-handed in Richmond this week, where Menate Movembee Provene Moderia Stempore L. Louise Lucas was separated from critics in X, Redemption Reduct Trump and GIF GIF
Lucas, of Portsmouth, once predicted a successful effort by Democtast Development 2020 to create a Commission to Re-declare to Draw Legislative Maps – but recently that Trump would suspect a change of heart.
“These pieces of enabling legislation create a complete package of renewal to run alongside the historic constitutional amendment,” Lucas said at the time, calling the first plan topilist, “transparent, transparent and BIPartisan.”

Critics of X locked in on her and other Democrats’ past support for the Recovery Commission, with one writing “Louise doesn’t care about democracy.”
More than two-thirds of voters rejected the original commission at the ballot box, with one critic complaining that Lucas “now wants to throw all those votes in the trash.”
“No kings (or queens)?” The critic took it down.
Lucas once again blamed the critic, blaming Trump for his apparent flip-flop:
“Yep, that would be a dig! Didn’t you read my previous post?
“So you can bet ia– the Democrats are ready for this fight,” he said, as GOV. The genn nsin is getting less and less frequent as a question of power, and the Republican Republican called to Richmond to talk about it.

“This hypocritical situation only serves to strengthen our position. They can join the unemployment line and Federal workers turn their backs,” Lucas said.
Lucas said Republicans are “nuts” who believe Democrats will be “watered down.”

Both Democratic groups in favor – like Blue Virginia – and some other observers had dubbed the current effort a “Scott-mander” or “Scotty-mander” – after House Speaker Don Scott, D-Norfolk and Senate Majority Leader Scott Surovell, D-Mount Vernon.
Savovell had sent to block the official reading of the message from the speaker to the Legislature as it came back, according to Virginia Merciry reporter Marlus Schmidt.
It is reported that Sutrovell reported that he is called the governor “the most” in the history of the state and the man is very worried about the wishes of the president.
One critic of Surovell commented on X that police officer that the Bad Officer of the Conferetate Gov. “Excessive Billy” Smith would like the name, in relation to hyper-purcisensip.

“All it took was $150,000 from the Democratic Redistricting Committee to change his position,” Shin said.
Spanberger initially said: “Grymandering harms our civil liberties and weakens the voices that make up our elected officials.”
State Sen. Glen Active, R-Midlothian, ridiculed Spanberger for reiterating his original opposition to grymandering — adding a response: “Revive?”
Back to the Democratic leadership, Sen. Sen. Mamie Locke of Hampton – Who sponsored the Original Commission Amendment – wrote in 2018 that some skills were drawn to it, “and that they hope that other legislators will agree to the creation of Jeopardy now.
State of Stuy Sen. Schuyler vanvalkenburg, a short D-pump, also previously opposed to grymandering, saying during the founding of the Virginia Commission that the Virginia Democrats were doing well “the right election part of their campaigns.”
In a 2020 column for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Vanvalkenburg, his civilian batch students, his students also found efforts to revive the Partisans “cheating with maps.”
Newloom-style revival efforts were scrutinized by California Democrats as recently as July, statements show
“Make no mistake, it’s time to end this trend,” he wrote at the time. “Let’s live up to our highest standard … and pass a sensible reform now.”
Five years later, Vanvalkurg offered an unusual Monday comment about Richmond’s visit to Richmond.
“These GOP members can come back to DC and vote on a bill that will end again in the mid-10s to end all states,” he said.
“Bill was introduced to do just that! But they actually care about helping Trump. He doesn’t represent Virginians. Remind me of these scams.”
On the campaign trail, Governor John Reid’s lieutenant governor John Reid hit out at Democrats who called lawmakers back to Richmond.
He also emphasized a short clip of Personal Del. Bonita Anthony, D-Norfolk, who gave a brief speech during a time-honored tribute to a group that helps so-called “people hold.”
Elsewhere, critics of sudden revival efforts shared some historical citations with caution.

“Democracy is nothing but mob rule, where 51% of the people can take away the rights of the other 49.”
