Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has admitted that he has been hurt by fans whistling him in recent matches. In the last three games at the Bernabeu, Vinicius has been booed by the crowd, although that faded on Tuesday night after a man-of-the-match performance against AS Monaco.
Speaking after the match, Vinicius explained that he was overwhelmed by the crowd’s reaction to him.
“It hurts me a lot. I don’t want to be whistled at home, where I feel comfortable. And in the last few games, I didn’t feel comfortable because whenever I play badly, whenever I do something wrong, they whistle me. But they have the right. They pay a very expensive ticket for this. I don’t understand it, but I’m here to continue to improve and always fight for this team,” said Sports. Brasil.

‘Last year was difficult for me’ – Vinicius
Many have pointed to Vinicius missing out on the Ballon d’Or in late 2024 as the turning point where his performance began to sink. Vinicius also said that he did not have the power to stop the talk that he had a hand in the exit of Xabi Alonso, but he admitted that he was not playing at the same level last year.
“There’s nothing I can do, there’s nothing I can do. The only thing I can do on the field is to go out there and give my all. I won’t always be at the highest level technically, but I always give my best to the team, I always do my best to make everyone feel comfortable. If others don’t have goals, I try to help; if I have to defend, I try to defend the best players.”

On Wednesday, it was reported that agent Federico Pena is now in the Spanish capital, and negotiations to renew the contract could resume soon. Whether or not Vinicius played a role in Alonso’s exit, it is thought that Alonso’s exit as manager may be easier to negotiate, having been stalled for the past seven months.
