UAE launches AI system to exchange work permits and reduce costs

The UAE has launched AI-enabled work permit processing as it takes steps to become one of the world’s most advanced developed markets.
The Ministry of Labor and Emiratisation (Mohre) unveiled its “Eye” program during Gitex Global 2025, which is designed to cut processing times for job applications and attract talent to employers.
The “EYE” system speeds up permit approval by automatically analyzing and verifying key documents such as personal photos, passports and educational certificates.

“It is part of a broad portfolio of digital transformation and innovation initiatives that raise the standards of government services and are pioneering.
“This program shows the high level of the service of digital readiness, our leading role in supporting the country’s ambitious indicators, and our commitment to the development of innovation and AI in all fields of the labor market in all fields.”
Al Saadi added that the “Eye” system improves customer experience and efficiency by speeding up the completion of transactions, reducing costs, and improving the quality of document delivery – all of which contribute to a smoother customer journey.
