Trump’s Presidential Library is planned for Miami to lead developer support

Dezer Development President Gil Dezer talks to fox news digital news about what to expect from the Trump Presidential Library in Miami, next to the Historic Liberty.
South Florida developer Gil Dezer, who has collaborated with President Donald Trump on several architectural projects sold by the library, also believes that Miami is Florida for his presidential library – and believes that it is “ready” to carry the weight of that legacy.
“How big is it that we have it here? In all the different cities and they say they can choose, it means,” Florida showed him a lot of love and he shows it back to us, “said Dezer talking to us digitally. “So we are proud to have it here in Florida, in Miami.”
Earlier this month, Florida officials approved plans for Trump’s Library in Downtown Miami, near the city of Liberty.
Gov. Ron Desantis, Republican, and the Florida Cabinet voted to transfer the 2.63-acre parcel on the Boulevard to the Trump Mobile Library Foundation, which the President started when the President finished his second term.
Miami’s next big moment: City leaders say they’re ready – are they?
Trump is still far from Palm Beach and made history in Miami-Dade County during the 2024 presidential election, winning by 13 points – the first Republican to do so since 1988.

“It’s good to have his stamp in Downtown Miami. It’s good to have something of a white house here in South Florida,” Dezer – The developer behind the Porsche Design Tower, “Trump Royale, Trump Royale and Trump – said Trump. “It will bring jobs to this area, it’s built, it’s obvious, and it will make a beautiful building, and now it’s a parking lot there.”
The miami site is currently used as an employee parking lot for Miami Dade College’s Wolson Campus and sits next to a historic liberal arts center, which served as a resource center for Cuban refugees fleeing Communism in the 1960s and 1970s. The century-old building is widely seen as a symbol of the city’s vibrant heritage.
The parcel was appraised at more than $66 million, according to local reports, but could sell for more than $360 million, the New York Times reported, citing a real estate consultant.
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Breakwater Hospitality Group CEO Emi Guerra talk to Fox News Digital about the city’s preparations ahead of hosting the FIFA World Cup.
Dezer suggested the design of the library should include Trump Signature style and Terracotta Terracotta signature to achieve freedom of expression.
“I don’t think you want a big difference with a new building today,” he noted, “but something that will be timeless and beautiful, the way [Trump] Are all his things … I think that including things about the history of the city is important. “
“I think a real library … the ones we used to remember, where you can pick up a book and take a book with a library card, a place to study, a quiet place, that’s what’s really needed in an urban area,” he added. “We had classes that grew up with the Dewey decimal system that my children never bother to learn today, because everything is online.

Dezer said he doesn’t expect major planning or market hurdles when it comes time to break ground, though he admits there is political opposition.
“It’s always a political challenge. You always have those naysayers who don’t want it,” he said. “That’s what he showed us, he’s a Master Fundraiser. He raised the money to build a balloon near the White House, and he showed that if someone’s going to do this, he’s the guy to pull it off.”
“He’s going to push it and make sure it’s on time and on schedule, and he’s going to surprise you,” Dezer said. “For many presidents, these things are a legacy. They want to be remembered for the next 200 years … you put a stamp on the right [at the] The Dead Center of Miami, which will be seen by all for years to come. “

“We’ve been a world-class city for the last 10 years, 15 years, and this is just an extra cherry on the cake, if you will. “So we should be very proud that Trump chose us, and it’s going to be here forever.”
