Former FBI Director Letitia James denied that their recent statements were politically motivated by Donald Trump’s Animis.
In a bid to have their charges thrown out, they argued that Trump’s hand-picked attorney who brought the case in Virginia was improper in his role, and the Department of Justice was drafted long ago with the support of a current Supreme Court justice.
The hearing was held Thursday in Alexandria, VA. Even if a decision on this matter is not expected soon.
The Trump administration has been plagued this year by similar nomination challenges in New Jersey, Nevada and California.
120 day dispute

As previously mentioned, immigration cases contain a five-year statute of limitations that expired in September. Jacob, however, faces charges that have a ten-year statute of limitations.
