During the last leg of his tour of Asia on the way to South Korea, President Donald Trump spoke with the same spirit, expressing confidence in his relationship at the economic conference.

Asked about US efforts to reduce Fentanyl trafficking, Trump said the issue would be a big part of his XI talks.

Ahead of his meeting with the Chinese leader, Trump said he hoped to make progress on “a number of issues,” including anti-trafficking, trade and tariffs.

“China will work with me, all right,” Trump told reporters. “They will work with me, and we will do something, I believe.”

Trump said the issue would be a major topic of discussion at his next meeting.

“We have to have a meeting – a meeting tomorrow. That’s a big meeting,” he said. “And Fentanyl will be one of the things we discuss. Farmers will be discussing many things, but Fentanyl will be one of the things we discuss.”

Trump said that the problem of Fentanyl and the smuggling of drugs across the southern border are directly related, they do not cost “huge amounts of death.”

“We took a lot of death. I call them death boats,” he said. “Under the closed and open borders, things were flowing. I think they killed 300,000 people last year – fentanyl drugs coming through the southern border.”
