Once the Reactor has been commissioned and is awaiting the expected licenses approved by the US Energy Regulatory Commission, the 835-Megawatt Reactoror would provide Baselonction Realed power in the PJM Interconnection Region, providing power equivalent to 800,000 homes.

Constellation in June proposed a timeline for restarting the reactor by about a year to 2027 after PJM fast-tracked the review process to connect the project to the grid.

Greg Beard, head of the Department of Energy’s Finance Office (LPO), told reporters that it was the first time that the LPO announced that the company met all the conditions of the loan, and was closed at the same time.
