Saint-raymond, a suburb northwest of Quebec City, enjoys a slow pace of life and a beautiful setting that makes it a great place for a great escape. Cuient as it may be, don’t let the town’s small charm fool you into thinking it’s a sleepy place. Serving as the gateway to one of the province’s premier recreational areas, Saint-raymond is a year-round outdoor adventure destination. These include mountain bike trails, peaceful kayaking trails, and endless opportunities for candle-lit waterfalls and waterfalls.
For those ready to answer the call of the Jewel of the Wild, Saint-Raymond is the Valllée Bras-Du-Nord, a contiguous region celebrated for the best cycling in Eastern Canada. While Valllée Bras-Du-Nord is the main attraction, the natural escape of Saint Raymond is extended throughout the municipality. This includes other cycling routes, such as the vélopiste Jacques-Cartier / Portneuf, with 42 miles of scenic views. For local hiking trails, Mont Laura-Plamondon sits to the east of the city, and is considered a more challenging route that can be completed in 90 minutes or less with panoramic views of the city and the Portneuf region. On the other side of town, Sainte-Anne Riverfront Park features an easy walking trail with viewpoints and water access. The Anne River, which cuts through the center of town, is also a great spot for non-motorized water activities, such as paddling.
During the winter months, the city remains active but has a different set of activities. Ski Saint-raymond offers a family-friendly downhill experience, including indoor tubing at its height. Those who love engines in gravity can find snowmobile and fat bike adventures in the great outdoors and on the trails. Valllée Bras-Du-Nord is also accessible during the winter with snow that can be HIKEERS. Inside the city, the heart of the community is its heritage building, Maison Plamondon, which serves as the cultural center of Saint-raymond. The historic red building sits on one of the main streets, Rue St Joseph, and houses many local hotels in the heart of the city. In addition to the sunshine that is very enjoyable, the summer months also welcome outdoor concerts by the River Sainte-Anne near the Hessier Tessier Bridge.

Saint-raymond is only a 37-mile drive from Quebec City, and the largest airport, QuÉBEC City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), is 28 miles away. To reach Saint-raymond without your car, the Corporation de transport Régional de Portneuf (CTRP) offers a weekly shuttle service between Saint-raymond and various spots in Quebec City.
