Steve Thompson: I have been a fan of Haunted Mansion Since my first trip to Disneyland back in 1980. One of my favorite rooms is in attractive, of course, the extension room and its drawings. So, how does the challenge, show these characters in a new way?

My way of designing these powers was to honor that culture and to draw them as I saw. Everything started with my first drawings. I can say my biggest inspiration or jump-off point was in the first time of Disney Legend Marc Davis. His paintings were delicious and a small Eeerie at the same time – there was magic in the eyes!

As a designer, I always remember that I am just one of the long artists who have helped to keep these letters and the stories live years ago. It also comes with the main and true love for the source.

And the park pulls out that child from me that can take a step and appreciate that. It always makes me happy to see what we going to do next!
