The Zayled National Museum opened its 1,500 artefacts and public experiences

The Zayled National Museum, the National Museum of the UAE, opened to the public on Wednesday.
Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, the Museum offers visitors a journey through the history of the UAE, from the earliest evidence of human habitation to this civilization and its identity. The museum also serves as a cultural bridge connecting the seven Emirates, emphasizing its shared history and heritage.
The National Museum pays tribute to the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Yayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his lifelong commitment. Visitors will explore how his vision continues to sharpen the standards of knowledge, openness and membership.
The museum displays a collection of more than 1,500 objects within its six permanent galleries, including archaeological artefacts, historical objects, visual and sensory experiences, and contemporary installations.
Starting from its 600-meter outdoor gallery, the tourist journey continues with exhibitions dedicated to the life of Sheikh ZAYED, the natural environment, and the history of human organization in the world, which has a history of human organization in this city. Together, they point out that geography, innovation, exchange and faith have shaped the Emirati identity.
The Zayled National Museum welcomes visitors
To mark its public opening, the zayed Museum will host ‘deep roots and eternal heritage’ until 31 December – workshops and cultural activities. The Museum’s interior spaces and outdoor spaces will serve up a variety of experiences that honor the UAE’s heritage and celebrate its culture. The show combines music, dance and storytelling to connect audiences of all ages to the nation’s history and culture.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, commented: “As the National Museum of the UAE, the Zayed National Museum.
“Binding the past, present and future, will help shape how we understand the UAE’s cultural narrative and learning, will inspire and aim to continue producing knowledge and cultural discourse around the world.”
Designed by Norman Foster, the Pritzker Prize-winning architect of the rising people +, the opening of the Museum marks a new chapter in the national heritage of the UAE, with the opening of TeamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi and the reopening of the Al Ain Museum in Al Ain District.
The Museum’s boutique, Al Nagwalo Boutique, offers a curated selection of gifts and souvenirs inspired by the museum’s themes and collections. Food and beverage options include the museum’s restaurant, the ERTH restaurant, and Al Ghaf Cafe and Garden Cafe.
