The Young and the Restless Prime Spoilers Dec 29-Jan 2: Sally’s Bomb Secret Revealed – Matt Lashes Out in Fury!

The Young and the Restless spoilers for December 29 – Jan 2, 2025 suggest Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) finds out a big secret and Matt Clark explodes.

As we always do on Early Edition Day, we’ll start with what’s coming this week, then dive into what’s coming next week.

The Young and the Restless Pirates: Billy Celebrates with His Kids

So, on Wednesday, December 24, we have Katie Newman (Sienna Mercuri), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) come with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally to their house, and bring a small Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It hurts a little. It’s a little nice. They have no decorations, nothing. So, Sally breaks out the popcorn and teaches Billy’s kids how to thread.

That’s what Sally did back when it was a little Christmas and a little pick up on the whole Christmas tree thing. Johnny asks about AbbottComm against Newman Media and what is the difference? And Billy says they have integrity and don’t attack people with lies and speculation. But Johnny being a kid has to remind his dad that he gambled at Jabot. Remember that bad yacht name? Billy admits that it was a mistake, but also that he has learned from his mistakes and praises Sally for being good to him.

The Little and the Restless spoilers: Sally is worried about Billy

Victoria and Sally discuss Billy’s drastic changes when he leaves the room with the kids and both hope these are legitimate changes. They worry about his anger towards Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). And Victoria totally compliments Sally on this new coolness she has, and she thinks Billy really cares about her.

Sally admits to Victoria that Billy reminds her of her father who was also a gambler who lost a lot and started drinking when he lost, then got high and evaporated. Sally said that she used to pick up her father often. So, Victoria wonders if Sally is doing the same thing as Billy trying to save her. She hears her ex talking and Sally tells Victoria about her father letting her down. There was this one Christmas when he promised her a sewing machine and not only did she get the sewing machine, her dad bailed her out completely for Christmas.

Victoria tells Billy he made his promises about AbbottComm and they went again and again with many disappointments. And Sally tells Victoria that she can’t survive Billy letting her down again. Then Sally says she’s sorry for dumping her hurt on Victoria, but she’s glad Sally shared it. The kids make a tinfoil star for the tree and leave with Victoria and Billy tells Sally how grateful he is to have her and they start smoking.

The Truth About Victor and Nikki’s Intense Christmas: The Presents and Ghosts of Christmas Past

Meanwhile, Victor is surprised to see Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at home at the new farm. He thought he wouldn’t be there. He reminds Victor that it is Christmas Eve. And he reminds Nikki that he will leave her. And she tells Victor that she’s still crazy, but Christmas is about family and that’s why she’s home.

Nikki thinks back to their first Christmas in that new farmhouse. And he said, you know, Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) was home at last and Cole was still alive. And Victor wants a vacation deal, and Nikki agrees, but she insists that what she’s doing to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is wrong, and she won’t change her mind about that.

Victor brings her a present, and Nikki says the present won’t change her mind, but it’s great. It is a ruby and diamond necklace that belonged to Marie Antoinette’s mother. Victor is happy he loves you, but Nikki says she won’t change her mind either. Victor says he just wants a good Christmas.

Nikki’s heartwarming gift to Victor on Y&R

Nikki gives Victor a gift, the personal journal of a German philosopher I’ve never heard of. Nikki and Victor talk about their many Christmases over the years. We flashed back to last Christmas when little Nikki brought Victor a little tree and said it looked like Scrooge lived in his house.

Victor tells Nikki that medicine was very important to him and talks about how his mother left him in an orphanage when he was seven because she couldn’t support him after his father left. Then Victor talks about being amazed at all the blessings he has now when he had none then as a child. They kiss and it’s sweet for now, but I expect the fight to start again in the new year.

Jack and Diane’s Romantic Christmas: Great Gifts and Naughty Plans

Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) greets Jack with eggnog and a kiss in the mansion and jokes about Victor giving them a nightmare before Christmas, but he wants to forget it all tonight. Everyone else is out of the house and Jack wants to mess around. And Diane talks about how much Jack has given her, how much she loves him and says that all she wants is Jack and another chance with his son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Love in his life, that’s all.

They exchanged gifts. Diane found Jack the first edition of Max Factor’s autobiography. He was the main man in making the movie back in the day if you don’t know the name. Diane says this guy reminds her of John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) and Jack gets Diane a necklace that once belonged to Coco Chanel. So, Jack and Victor both find Nikki and Diane’s history jewelry and they find the boys’ history books and there’s kissing all around.

The Young and the Restless Weekly Spoilers: Christmas Reruns and New Year’s Drama

Thursday, December 25, is Christmas Day and we have a recap for you The Young and the Restless. We’ll remember Victor getting the Ebenezer Scrooge treatment on three previous visits. This episode first aired on December 23, 2010.

On Friday, December 26, we return to the news and Michael Baldwin (Christian Jules Leblanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) discuss the pros and cons of helping the Abbotts. Lauren thinks that getting rid of the AI from Victor is more important than being branded to Michael for turning his back on helping Jack and Diane.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is surprised when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) hits him with guilt. He may want to leave Newman Media or he’s really sick of what Victor made him do. I wonder if Adam will try to stop Chelsea.

We know she has serious daddy issues and she can’t stop now that she has Victor’s approval. Billy and Jack get important intel from Sally. So, this week he and Adam talk and I think he might throw the Abbotts a lifeline using Sally as a go-between because Adam knows he can trust Sally.

New Year’s Spoilers: Psycho Matt, Newman Guilt, and the Abbott Takedown Plot

The week of December 29 to January 2 we have The Young and the Restless repeat on New Years. It’s a piece from a vault, about 30 years old. I honestly can’t wait to see this. It’s 1998 and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) is throwing a big party and Jill crashes it to cause trouble.

Also, when we return to the new episodes, Matt Clark is mentally disturbed and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) is terrified. Michael and Adam struggle with guilt and both want to help Jack without getting on Victor’s radar if possible. They’re walking a tightrope and of course, we know Mustache will find out.

Claire will stop at nothing to bring down her plot Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Kyle and Burrow may have some information for her. Sally and Billy are happy about it AbbottComm, but I’m worried about Victor, AI, and what’s going on at Jabot. Victor and Nikki had that Christmas truce, but their fight may continue like Donkey Kong again in the new year, unless something big has changed.

Phyllis’ Risky AI Heist and Family Drama Unfold

Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) still looks after his mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), very closely. Daniel has an eagle’s eye on him because he knows that he put Jabot in danger by stealing Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) AI and giving it to Victor. But Phyllis really hoped that Jack would give in Marchetti going into the summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will find her children hanging out with her. I think that will happen. I’m not sure if Phyllis will do what she promised.

Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is willing to sacrifice anything to save Sienna and his parents don’t like it. Noah makes rash emotional decisions that could put his life in danger again. And Phyllis is ready to go after the AI to get it back. But I’m worried that Victor’s tech team might have put in some caution because he might have been expecting Phyllis to try this move.
