West Virginia’s legislative vendors at the state and federal levels are looking to welcome Virginians who say the mountains are invisible in the country after the Democrats took over the Virginia elections. – Elect Abigail Spanberger and attorney-elect Jay Jones for Big Win.
Virginia and West Virginia were a united state until June 1863 – When the final result of the ‘wheel meeting’ saw delegates in the Western states vote to secede from the US as that effort was thwarted in Richmond.

The formation of West Virginia is seen as a successful attempt to create a new state through the development of another state.
Current efforts in Oregon, California, and elsewhere – as well as the effort to separate the island from New York City to create the city of Richmond – are very widespread.
