The UAE is issuing a new family justice system complete with five new regulations

The UAE introduced five new regulations to consolidate its justice system in the family, following the announcement by the Federal Judicial Council on the implementation of the Federal Studen Consee-Law issued under the Federal Source-Law. (41) of 2024.
The move represents an important override of personal status procedures at the level of the Federal courts, expanding digital services, strengthening child protection and supporting the effective resolution of family disputes.
The Judiciary Council said the new laws protect important pillars of the family justice system, including the roles of guardians, family leadership practices, children’s visitation rights, and the work of Sharia marriage officials.

The reforms aim to simplify procedures, increase access to digital services and advance the systems used for marriage, visitation and Sharia verification, with a focus on improved child safety and improved dispute resolution.
Among the regulations:
- Resolution No.
- Resolution No. (67) of 202) in the directive of family burdens, which gives the advisors of extended families with a wide dismissal of a wide dispute and gives their agreements the power of a higher object
- Solution No. (68) 2025 on visitation management provides a clear legal framework for visitation rules while prioritizing the child’s psychological and social well-being
- Resolution No. (69) of 202) in relation to affidavit and authentication encourages greater reliance on electronic authentication and seeks to ensure high levels of reliability and easy access to data

Family justice
Abdullah Sultan bin Awad al Nuaimi, chairman of the Judicial Council and Minister of Justice, emphasized that this step represents a major step in establishing a progressive family justice system that meets the needs of Emirati Society.
He said that he also aligns with the guidelines of the President of the Pedeni Sheikh Mohamed Min Zaysed Al Nahyan, who appointed the National Agenda “which he appointed as the country’s agenda that focuses on strengthening the bonds of the family and improving its values and its role.
The Federal Juchiciary said that these new laws indicate its commitment to improving human rights processes, improving judicial services and driving digital transformation within the courts.
The changes are in line with the objectives of “We The IAE 2031” The idea of building a united society and support the objective of sustainable development of the 16th in improving the objective of justice and in strong institutions.
