The only spooky thing about this hholoween is the rising cost of PC components

President Donald Trump’s Tariff Scheme has banned all of them until 2025, raising prices on video game consoles, laptops, and almost all gadgets manufactured overseas. Now, we can think about the ai bubble of why our PCs are so expensive. On Halloween, we see a new surge in computer prices. Soon, the graveyards will be filled with the former prices of RAM and SSDs. The ghost of today’s model will follow us into 2026 and beyond.
We already reported on the upcoming cleanup in the cost of memory elements due to the demand of AI data centers. Now, we’re starting to see the impact firsthand with devices and things that were once more expensive. That includes RAM and hard drive storage. On the happy day of Oct. 31 31, Minisforum announced that it will be prices for all those mini moms starting November 4.
📢 Notification of upcoming price adjustments

A number of possible uses may depend on your memory selection. Some MINI MINI PCs, such as the MS-S1 Max built for high performance or AI tasks, can have up to 128GB of RAM. AI is very ram, which is why one of NVIDIA’s $ 4,000 DGX Spark Scark Spaker Computers also contains 128GB of memory. It may also be why all the big data AI projects have been getting in-memory delivery.
Memory Plice Spike across the board
TeamGroup, one of the largest memory manufacturers in today’s PC market, told PC Gamer:
“We have definitely seen significant upward pressure on international prices in the NANNAN and DRAM markets
To increase this situation, the company said that hard drive manufacturers have never produced production, which means that SSDs – the modern standard of PC storage for almost every desktop or laptop – have been greatly reduced.
You can see this play out when you check the price history of various items. A package of 64GB Corsair Domator Titanium Ddr5 RAM now costs $502 on Amazon, although back in September it sold for more than $300, according to price tracking information. RAM options that were more expensive, like 32GB of Corsair Vingeance Ddr5 Memory, now cost $100 more than they did less than a month ago.
Gizmodo reached out to Corsair for comment, and we’ll update this story when we hear back. Same story with old DDR4 memory. Even if you’re thinking about picking up parts for an old PC, you’ll still end up paying more. Semiconductor Ray Wang Wang Shares showing DDR4 and DDR5 prices have been stable for the past two years, but they kicked up a notch this month.
The price of DDR4 and DDR5 from October 2023 to October 2025. And yesterday the prices are still rising!
You are beautiful and satisfy the upward line 🙂 pic.twitterst.com/uxfoypunn

We expect a complete smorgasbord of new PCs to hit the scene in January during CES 2026. Already, major PC manufacturers are creating hype for Panther lake laptops and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Chips and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Chips and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Chips and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Chips. Data centers are going up in communities across the US, and it will take a long time for memory production to be in demand. As it puts the holiday so full of bad, we do not hold back any hope that any new laptops and desktops will cost less than they did last year.
