Landrieu, who served as the chairman of Kamala Harris’ 2024 campaign and the chairman of the democratic state convention, opened by boasting that he “took down four affirmative monuments in New Orleans.”

He lamented that Democrats should defend the “status quo” against Trump while defending democracy.
“One of the Jiu-Jitsus Donald Trump has done in the last few years, is he made a democratic party that was a party to try to remove those political institutions from certain wards, to give that and give it to everybody,’ he said,'” he said. “He just ripped off what the Democrats did, all of a sudden, and protect the rule of law, and protect the state of the majority. ‘I can’t make conclusions.'”
