The debate reached the White House in the form of a post on X from Vice President JD Vence who expressed doubts about the matter.

Mamdani’s father Mahmood, who Zohohran Mamdani says is the aunt’s deceased cousin, has faced criticism during his controversial past as Abraham Lincoln, which has been revived on social media in recent days.

Mahmood Mamdani also sits on the Advisory Council of an anti-Israel organization that funds Israeli companies, and has regularly accused the Israeli government of “electoral murder”, Fox News Digital reported this summer.

“Suicide bombings need to be understood as a feature of modern political violence rather than a sign of barbarism,” the elder Mamdani wrote in his 2004 book Good Muslims, Bad Muslims: America’s War: The Cold War and the Roots.

“We need to recognize the BOMBERO SOMBER, first and foremost, as a class of soldier.”

Zohran Mamdani has pressed back in recent days facing critics of his various anti-policies and statements dating back to his time in college and suggesting that those criticisms focus on Anti-Muslim Pirotry.

“The dream of every Muslim is just to be treated the same as any other New Yorker,” Mamdani Posted in X Friday with a video that was viewed at least 24 times. “And, for too long, we’ve been told to ask for less, and put up with the hatred and the carpenters in the shadows. No more.”
