Rev. Al Sharpton on Saturday hit out at what he called the “Islamophoobia” sweeping the New York City mayoral race, accusing others of labeling all Muslims all terrorists in order to attack the human Zohran Mamdani.
Shallpton, host of MSNBC and progressive ashothist, was speaking at an event in addition to Mamdani in Harlem, and in the Mayoral election he was throwing Jabs again – he accused President Donald Trump of including and social programs. The Democratic Socialist drew parallels to the Rand-Era agency created to help newly freed slaves to hammer home his point.
The couple was joined by pastor Miles Travis Boyd, whose mother died on 9/11, and other religious leaders.
“I’m angry at the islally islamophobia used in this campaign to pretend that all Muslims are terrorists and did something terrible on 9/11 is a disgrace to the justice system,” because what happened in the Supreme Court, “because what happened in his judicial headquarters.

“If you can’t get a vote on your history, don’t play it against each other,” he added.
He pointed out that just because someone’s campaign appears or waving his hand does not mean that he shares the blame for whatever he is accused of. It is possible that Sharpton referred to the meeting that Mamdani had last week with Siraj Wahhaj, the Brooklyn Imam who is the author of the 1993 federal report and has been linked to other terrorist activities in the United States.
Rabpton went on to say that he criticized both oct. 7, 2023, the terrorist attacks in Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza.
“I am against Islamophobia. But bringing politics to the biggest city in the world should not be allowed to go unchecked,” Sharpton said. “We are not going to sit quietly while they do this. We are Christians. I am a Born-Baptist, but I am taking the Muslim community to come out of the shadows. And let’s go lower and wider.”

He then planted his flag in Mamdani’s corner after telling the audience that Mamdani was the only choice to go to their events.
“For eligibility, for accessibility, for those who have been victimized – I bring you a candidate,” Sharpton Mamdani said as the crowd cheered and applauded.
Mamdani followed Sharpton’s words with a speech in favor of the American reconstruction period, accusing Trump of Stuting Telfare social programs, saying that they represent today’s version of the Freemen’s Bureau. This organization provided relief, education, and helped reunite families of enslaved and white people in the post-war south.

“If freedom of freedom was here today, Donald Trump would have boarded their boxes and put them in the middle of the Socialists,” said Mamdani. “He did what he did to take away, Medicare and Medicaid, from any program that creates incentives for the poor rather than comforting the rich.”
FOX News Digital reached out to the White House for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Mamdani said his campaign was based on moral and economic renewal extending from Harlem to Queens to Bay Ridge.

“Over the past 12 months, my friends, we have built a movement around creating a community that we would all like to see a community where the poor get help where the City and City Hall are,” said Mamdani.
