Metaphors come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes they fall flat to get their point across. 2019’s Butt boyWritten and directed by Tyler Cornack, it’s a metaphor for addiction and compulsive behavior that smells a little like methane gas because of its absurd setup and delivery. I can’t in good conscience say that movies are the same Butt boy they’re not for everyone, but I feel compelled to point out why such an insanely stupid movie actually works better than you might expect.
The mystery of aliens and people who have disappeared is the end of the back of a man who pulls an investigator of insane madness, Butt boy It plays straight like a Neo Noir Crime Roller Thriller, but it’s a lot more in the pocket than you might think. On its merits alone, it’s worth a watch, but be warned that some of the sequences are stomach-churning.
The hard-awakened mystery of methane
Butt boy It centers on the two main characters, chip gutchell (Tyler Cornack) and russel fox (ryler rice). Chip is an unrepentant workaholic, and Russel the alcoholic detective is always on the back foot. After getting his first Prostate test, the chip is fixed by inserting things into his rear end, which raises suspicions among his family, friends and everyone. His addiction starts small, involving the appearance of TVs and bars of soap, but quickly escalates when pets and other, less subtle art begins to disappear.
CHIP meets Detective Russel Fox for the first time at an AA meeting and becomes His sponsor. In Chip’s mind, as long as he gets and gives some kind of advice, it doesn’t matter where it comes from. They still don’t know the true depth of chip’s behavior, russel is drawn into the investigation after bringing your children to have a work day incident leading to the disappearance of Chip’s Boss’s son. Suspecting that the chip is doing the unthinkable and using his butt as a way to find those around him, Russel is laughed out of the precinct and the designs come back.
Hoignant and pungent take on addictive qualities
I’ll be the first to admit those movies are similar Butt boy It appeals to a specific audience and will not win over all viewers. A completely nonsensical story made worse by everyone’s determination to play it completely straight. Bits of the process of skills Police can be pulled from a David Fincher film, as you don’t hear Floppy disks, plaques, children, and animals disappear butt of the chip while the aa is AA.
On the side, on the side, Butt boy It gives a startlingly direct look at addiction and how compulsive behaviors can take over if left unchecked or without the right support network. Both Chip and Russel are flawed people who struggle with problems they can’t overcome, and their stories intertwine in an endless game of cat and mouse.
Russel, dependent on the good old cops, has trouble staying healthy as he chases what he believes to be an infamous butt. Chip, in his addiction, is blinded to how his actions affect not his own well-being but the well-being of those close to him.
It should be a watch, but err on the side of caution
Beneath its dark humor and deadpan delivery, Butt boy It uses its element of exaggeration to show the two types of addicts who live in conferences. Russel’s battles are all over the place and easy to spot because we all know someone who drinks too much and says they can stop but never does.
By organizing that same energy you are addicted to something crazy like crazy things like things that move your butt, the sudden compulsion to feel serious because the physical commitment is impossible to ignore. Both men are at the mercy of their adoption and are powerless to help themselves in normal ways. As they go deeper and deeper into this chip hole, the legend establishes that they are forced to learn difficult lessons in ways that do not please any of the senses.
