The 250th anniversary celebration of the US Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton in San Diego County Pendleton on Saturday sparked a fiery social media exchange between California Gov.

“This is the end of fake news,” said Martin in a post on X, which was found by the account @vp x. “The Marine Corps says they are not closing the I-5 highway and that the event at Camp Pendleton is a training exercise.”
A Marine Corps Press Referent said Wednesday about the festivities that “No public highways or sidewalks will be closed.”

Extensive security measures were implemented at the celebration – it is expected to draw more than 15,000 attendees – including a detailed risk assessment, full documentation of the movement, FOX 11 Los Angeles reported earlier in the week, the event organizers revealed.
The newspaper and the White House did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
