Laporta reveals the days to extend the course of the camp nou to 62,000

The President of Barcelona Joan Laporta gave an update where the capacity of Spotify Camp Nou will be increased again, as its comeback enters the third stage. The blaugrana initially applied for licenses to open two, then a third, which currently has a capacity of more than 45,000.

The plan is to open the last stage of the two tiers below this season, which increases the capacity of 62,000, which will be the highest that it will reach this season. The aim is to build the first Tier three for the next season, when it ends up being taken at 105,000.

Speaking at a forum hosted by La Vanguardia, Laporta explained to MD that they were waiting for the 1C license from the City Council next month to add another 17,000 fans.

“Spotify Camp Nou is a joint dream come true. We are very satisfied with our relationship with the city council, and I am proud of that. If there are no circumstances that are respected.”

Barcelona to increase the percentage of club members

If so, the first match of the rising power Barcelona could be against the original Oviedo on the 25th of January. With the start of the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Supercup, Barcelona will play six or seven straight games away from home in COCEMBER AND JECEMBER. Laporta also outlined strategies to increase the number of club members.

“We expect season ticket holders to grow. Right now, we have an annual season ticket average of 40%, and when we get different needs it’s allocated.”

The singing section has become a controversial topic in Barcelona, with the club announcing that they are ‘changing’ the composition of the fans in it. After a dispute with the club over a fine received for insults and racial abuse from the section, the Barcelona Board decided to close the entire section until the fine was paid. Laporta’s opposition claims that the ban arose out of anti-Laporta sentiments.

Laporta explains the Eintracht Frankfurt ticket decision

Meanwhile in Barcelona’s upcoming Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt next Tuesday, the club has decided to sell tickets only to members, without general sales. The decision follows a recent clash between the two, when the Nou camp was stormed by Eintracht fans, who made up a large percentage of the crowd.

“We have a very bad history with this club. The fans know all the tricks they have to play. It’s a scary memory. We saw a memory full of eintracht shirts.”

“Now it’s La Purisima [festival] is coming, and we are adapting all the ways to avoid problems. We will only sell tickets to members. We have already solved this problem we have against Alovés; With a QR code, there will be no problem. We want to protect ourselves from paying and protect the field from being full of Germans. “
