Indian posts left religious divide with UAE Nae National Day Video

Suggestions that Mark Diwali may be contributing to air pollution in the Indian capital are being dismissed online as complaints from old videos showing “real Muslims” celebrating the festival at Hindu Farms in Saudi Arabia. The video actually shows the UAE national day celebrations in December 2023.

“In Saudi Arabia, true Muslims celebrate Diwali with great enthusiasm, exploding firecrackers; meanwhile in India, anonymous names can be shared with Diwali Firecrackers,” reads the caption of the Facebook video, 2025.

The video, which has been viewed more than 32,000 times, shows groups of people on the street watching the firemen’s display.

It is being broadcast as Diwali celebrations are linked to the problem of air pollution in the Indian East

The link has also been rejected online, with people branding the organization as anti-Hindu or anti-Muslim.

According to the monitoring organization iqair, the toxic air in the capital of India made a spike following the diwali celebrations – hitting more than 56 times the fire limit of the UN after the explosion of firefighters in the morning of October 21 (archived link).
