Indian posts left religious divide with UAE Nae National Day Video
Suggestions that Mark Diwali may be contributing to air pollution in the Indian capital are being dismissed online as complaints from old videos showing “real Muslims” celebrating the festival at Hindu Farms in Saudi Arabia. The video actually shows the UAE national day celebrations in December 2023.
“In Saudi Arabia, true Muslims celebrate Diwali with great enthusiasm, exploding firecrackers; meanwhile in India, anonymous names can be shared with Diwali Firecrackers,” reads the caption of the Facebook video, 2025.
The video, which has been viewed more than 32,000 times, shows groups of people on the street watching the firemen’s display.
It is being broadcast as Diwali celebrations are linked to the problem of air pollution in the Indian East
The link has also been rejected online, with people branding the organization as anti-Hindu or anti-Muslim.
According to the monitoring organization iqair, the toxic air in the capital of India made a spike following the diwali celebrations – hitting more than 56 times the fire limit of the UN after the explosion of firefighters in the morning of October 21 (archived link).

This video was also shared on Facebook, Instagram, threads and X posts, showing that users do not believe that it shows the celebration of diwali in Saudi Arabia.
“How wonderful Diwali is celebrated in Saudi Arabia but Muslims in India hate Diwali,” Read one such.
But the video actually shows the United Arab Emirates’ national day celebration in Abu Dhabi.

A reverse image search on Google using keyframes from the falsely assigned led led to the same Clip posted on YouTube on December 3, 2023 (link archived).
Its title reads, “UAE 52 National Day Cele celebration 2023”.

Video analysis by the AFP correspondent in the Middle East also found other things that show that the United Arab Emirates, including the Falcon Emirates in Al Nahyan – above the number “

The following keyword search led to a statement on the installation of decorative pieces by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality to celebrate the United Arab Emirates’ 52ND anniversary on December 2, 2023 (archived link).

According to the statement, the decorations were placed in the most notable places, including “Abu Dhabi Corniche Street”.
Street-level images available on the KartaView platform show a falsely shared video corresponding to the intersection of Corniche Road and Mpubarak Bin Mohammed Street in Abu Dhabi (Link posted).
