IDO: Abu Dhabi unveils digital marriage contracts – no papers, no visits

Couples in Abu Dhabi can now get married without paper forms or human visitors.

The Abu Dhabi Jusicial Department (Addd), in collaboration with the Government Finance Ministry, unveiled the initiative during Gitex Global 2025 at the Abu Dhabi Parliament.

The new service is part of Abu Dhabi’s comprehensive digital transformation plan to make all important life events accessible through a single platform.
By digitizing one of the UAE’s most important legal priorities, this project sets a new benchmark for the region to govern firmly, ai-adveneven and enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a Smart-City leader worldwide.
Using Tamm, users can apply online, enter the details of all parties – groom, bride, guardian and witness – and upload supporting documents.
The system verifies information instantly with UAE Pass and linked government information, including pre-marriage medical data.
When officials approve the contract electronically, the system issues a digitally certified copy.
Couples can also request authentication from the relevant authorities and download an approved version for use abroad – all done securely within minutes.
Milestone collaboration
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by your advisor Yousef Saeed Al Abri the Ministry of Agriculture, Secretary of Abu Dhabi Abliar, and Dr. Mohamed Abdelhamid al umbunguar, Director-General of Tamm in the Ministry of Government Finance.
Al Abri said: “Providing marriage contract services through the Tamm Platform marks a revolutionary milestone for the judiciary in corrections and the Ministry.”
He also added that the services that include the integration of a unified digital system support the vision of Sheikh Mansour bin zayed al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of Smart Smart that strengthens global competition.
Dr. Mohamed Al Mas Askar said: “The integration of marriage contracts used on the Tamm platform represents an important milestone that demonstrates the cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Abu Dhabi.
“It aims to continue to simplify the lives of community members and share with them one of the most important moments in their lives with the new AI-Powered version of Tamm.”
