Surfshark has its flaws, though. Apps hang on error messages often and features sometimes open when you don’t need them. If something about surfshark annoys you enough that you’re ready to switch, here’s how to cancel your subscription, get a refund and (if you want) delete your account entirely.
How to cancel automatic renewal in surfshark
To cancel Surfshark, all you need to do is stop your subscription from automatically renewing. After canceling the automatic renewal, you can end up using surfshark for the time you paid for it (unless you get a refund or delete your account completely). Assuming you purchased a subscription to your Surfshark website, follow these steps to cancel.

Go to SurfShark.com. At the top right of the screen, click My account.

Enter your username and password, and sign in. You will be taken to your account dashboard at My.SurfShark.com.

At the top right of the screen, click Your email address for your account. Click on Cash that is issued periodically in the drop-down menu.

Click Payment tab under the words “your subscriptions.”

Scroll down to the “Subscriptions” section. Next to your Surfshark subscription, click Cancel automatic renewal.

That’s all there is to it. Remember that unless it’s been 30 days or less since you signed up, you won’t be able to get a refund, and Surfshark doesn’t offer refunds for unused time. Additionally, you can always cancel Surfshark by opening a live chat window and asking the support team to do it for you – just be warned that you’ll be asked again and again.
How to cancel surfshark if you subscribed to the app store
If you subscribed through the app store, the cancellation process is different. You will have to opt out of your automatic renewal through the platform where you originally purchased the subscription. In this section, I’ll cover how to cancel on the desktop versions of the app store individually, because the requests have been moved may work. Just note that you can do the same thing by going to the registration section of your profile in the relevant mobile app store.
If you purchased surfshark through the Google Play store, open play.google.com on a desktop computer. Click the circle at the top-right that contains the first of your account, and click Payments and subscriptions in the menu that appears. On the new page, click Subscriptions tab, then scroll down until you find surfshark. Click manage, click Cancel your subscription then follow the instructions.
If you’ve gone through the Apple App Store, a desktop computer is the easiest way to cancel. Open the app store on macos, click Sign in On the left, enter your email password and Apple ID. After logging in, check on the left again and click your name, then click account settings on the upper right. Click Subscriptionsfind surfshark, and click Organize and Cancel your subscription.
How to cancel surfshark if you subscribed through Amazon
You can buy surfshark through Amazon, but if you do, you will have to cancel through Amazon. Go to Amazon and sign in to your account. In the upper-right, click Account and Lists, there- Membership and Subscriptions. Scroll until you find surfshark and click it Cancel your subscription. After that, follow AsScreen victims.
How to Delete Your Surfshark Account
It is possible to delete your SurfShark account and immediately end your connection with the entire Surfshark app, but there is no direct way – Your only option is to start a live chat conversation. To do that, go to support.SurfShark.com, scroll down and click Talk to us. In the chat window, tell the bot you want to delete your SurfShark account. Be prepared to endure several requests to reconsider.
How to get a refund from surfshark
