There is a lot to be said for Nordvpn, as I covered in my full serdvpn review. It is one of the fastest among the best VPNs, and it has a lot of cool, specialized servers for various VPN functions. But apps can be frustrating, and beyond that, no vpn is perfect for everyone. If you decide nordvpn isn’t for you, here’s how to cancel your subscription and get your money back.
How to turn off auto-renewal on Nordvpn
Even if you decide on Nordvpn options, you may want to keep your subscription active while choosing a backup service. If so, you can simply cancel the automatic renewal and let the subscription expire at the end of the billing period. If you change your mind before then, you can automatically reactivate later. Here’s how you can do it.

Go to mm.nordwaccount.com. Click Log in to the Nord account and enter your email address and password.

You will land on the Account Overview page. In the left column, click Being played.

List of subscriptions from, find nordvpn. Find the line that says “Automatic renewal: On,” and click Rub it Link near you.

A warning message will appear. Click Cancel automatic renewal bottom right.
This will reset the automatic update. If you decide to return it, just go back to the payment tab of your account, find your NordvPN subscription and click Enable automatic renewal.
How to cancel if you have subscribed to the app store
If you have subscribed to NordvPN on a mobile device through Google Play or the Apple App Store, you will need to go to the appropriate App Store to cancel your subscription. On Android, sign in to Google Play, tap your profile picture, tap tap tap Payments and subscriptions and touch Subscriptions. Scroll until you find nordvpn, tap and hit Cancel your subscription. If you want a refund, follow the instructions in “How to get a refund from Nordvpn” below.
On iOS, open the Settings app, touch your profile picture, then tap Subscriptions. Scroll down to Nordvpn, tap and hit Cancel your subscription. To get a refund for an Apple purchase, contact the Apple support team instead of the NordvPN team.
How to delete your NordvPN account
On the other hand, if you are sick of nordvpn and already have another VPN lined up, you can cancel immediately by deleting your Nord account completely. This will also limit any other nord security products you may use, including nordpass and nordlocker.

Go to mm.nordwaccount.com, click Log in to the Nord account and enter your authentication.

At the top right of the account overview page, click your email address. In the drop-down menu, click account settings.

See the bottom of the page for account deletion controls. Click Delete the account.

How to get a refund from Nordvpn
NordvPN has a 30-day money back guarantee. As long as you purchased your subscription in the last 30 days, you can get a full refund. To do so, you will need to first cancel the automatic renewal of your plan as described above, and then contact support to request a refund.
You can access NordvPN support by going to the help center at support.nordvpn.com. To access live options and e-mail E-mail options, you will have to work your way down to the lower level center heading, then jump down until you reach the limited section ” It’s frustrating, but you can get there just by clicking on the first link on each page (or just follow this link and scroll down).
Once you get the buttons, you either start a live chat or open an email form. Whichever you choose, explain that you have canceled your purchase and would like a refund. Make sure you don’t stop working until you get confirmation that your refund will be processed. After that, it will take 10 business days for the refund to go through.
