HGTV Star Genevideve Gorder Gorder is selling her longtime New York City home.

The Duplex Co-op in Manhattan is on the market for $4.3 million in partnership with listing agents Smitha and Christopher Stoke Moseley of Christie’s Real Estate Group.

The 2014 TV series, “the renovation of Genevieve, as she transforms two side units into one four-bedroom, where she lived with her daughter, Bebambele.

According to Mansion Global, Gorder bought one of the units in 2004 and the other in 2011.

Gorder became a household name in the year 2000, as one of the first designers of the TLC Show “commercial spaces,” and is often called one of the key figures in the praise of Design television.

“I like to use this analogy: When you’re in an airplane situation, they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first to help everybody,” he said. “It’s natural for us to feel like, as a woman, we need to take care of others all the time. But it’s so important to take care of yourself and have that one special place where you can find and make those best-placed health decisions.”

He went on to explain that the space “doesn’t have to be big,” but it should be “just somewhere ‘where you can physically separate yourself from things that make you anxious or stressed and find peace.'”

When it comes to creating these spaces, Goder reported that it is important to think about what is needed to feel comfortable: “Part of feeling good and relaxing is also making sure that everything you need to be comfortable.”

He explained: “So, these special places also count food. “Like, having a favorite snack or wine or something comforting. I hit one bar because it’s satisfying. But they stick with things that make you feel cared for.”
