Gimenez at Barcelona – ‘If we stop them from scoring, we will get chances’

Atlético Madrid Manager Diego Simeone is divided in the categories of Hansi Flick Destruction on the bench of Barcelona as ‘Standation’, before their meeting at Camp Nou on Tuesday night. Los Colchoneros are looking to tie the seven-game winning streak, with Barcelona in a less optimistic way, but they are still on top.
Simeime spoke to the media before this game, and he was willing to emphasize the great strength of Barcelona, and its defined style.
“The type of game we expect is clear. They are an opponent with a wonderful attack, a well-positioned style of play, and some very important players, and we will have to be strong in that aspect of the competition.”
“I see it the same way as others
“We are human, we have emotions” – simeone in the flick
One of the talking points of the weekend was a picture of Flick looking on the Barcelona bench, even though they just beat Laeses 3-1. Simeimeone gave little importance, feeling that it was a natural reaction.
Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid have never beaten Barcelona at Lou’s camp. However, last year, they managed to beat Barça away from home for the first time.

“It’s normal. We’re human; we have feelings and emotions. From the sidelines, it’s always easy to see things, but they get easier.
Los Rojiblancos are headed for a draw with several key absences from Marcos Llorente and Robin Le Normand. Marc Pubill is tipped to make a strong start at Sorrentine’s Steand, with Simeone ensuring the Spain International will not return in time.
“Marcos is still recovering. Pubill and Nahuel are different: Molina is annoying, and very important, and very important in the Final Office.”

Jose Maria Gimenez – ‘We Will Try To Prevent Their Attacks’
Later on Monday night, defender Jose Maria Gimenez spoke to Atletico’s club channels before the game. The Uruguayan is called upon by his team to be defensively strong in the face of Barcelona’s attacks.
“They’re going to want to take the initiative, and we’re going to be strong defensively to try and stop their attacks, we’re paying more attention to the wings, where we’re healthy, where we’re coming together, when we’re coming together, when we’re making a mindset game.”

Should they be able to achieve that, then Gimenez was confident that his side would exploit Barcelona’s defense with the other side’s defence.
“We are very clear that with the team we have, if we defend well and prevent them from being beaten, we will create some opportunities, there is always another way to be in all ways. If you work hard, and work hard, and Commit yourself to what the team needs, luck may be on your side.”
