General Hospital: Willow Gets Away With Shooting Drew? Shocking Escapes & What’s Next in Port Charles!

General Hospital finally revealed who shot Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), and it had been Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) Cain all along. Now, the big question is, will you get away with it. The most tragic outcome is when Drew Cain Quartermaine’s young wife runs away from shooting him.

And right now, it seems likely that’s the way it’s going to go. We’ll talk about what happened after the trial, assuming that Willow Tait was found not guilty of putting two bullets in Drew’s back. He may walk away empty-handed and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) may be in trouble.

Shocking General Hospitals Flashbacks and Willow’s Master Plan

So, thanks to a very important flashback, we know that Willow tried to kill Drew, which many fans have suspected all along. And I mean, honestly, to me, it’s good for Willow for realizing that she ruined her life and getting a gun and shooting Drew. The worst thing is that you lose your job.

So, now we finally know how he went down that night. We saw Willow go upstairs and take a gun from Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) collection at the Quartermaine Mansion. When DA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) asked about it, Willow honestly said that she never touched the gun. His gloves did, but his hands did not. So, you know, technically it’s not a lie.

Later, he drove to Drew’s house and fatally shot him at close range twice because he caused Willow to lose her children. I think that’s one shot per child. It was not only an attempted murder, but it was planned. It was not done in the heat. Willow planned and conspired to kill Drew. And that’s what he intended to happen. But, you know, doctors are not good General Hospitaland he is still with us.

Twinkle Ringtone: How Trina and Kai Reveal the Truth on GH

Recently, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) thought Michael was the shooter because they thought Twinkle was his special ringtone for Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Viron Weaver). And then Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) called Wiley Michael, and Kai and Trina heard that very different custom ringtone.

But then they hear Twinkle’s ringtone, the same one they heard the night Drew was shot, coming from Willow’s phone as Wiley drives her. So that leads Kai and Trina to conclude that Willow was the real shooter, not Michael. And let’s be real, Kai and Trina don’t care that Drew got shot. I don’t think anyone but Drew cares that Drew got shot.

But they also don’t want Michael to get away with it if he didn’t. And now we know he didn’t. I kept saying I didn’t think Michael did it. So Trina and Kai think Willow’s ringtone proves her guilty. Well, they theorize, without hard evidence that they can show the police, but the audience knows for sure because of those pictures from Willow that she is 100% the shooter.

Legal Maneuvers and Strategy by Alexis Davis

But think about this. You know, Drew didn’t respond to Willow’s ringtone when they left the courtroom. And in the past, Drew mentioned that his Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) ringtone is also Twinkle Twinkle. The same Willow has Wiley.

And Kai already knew it was Drew’s ringtone for Scout because he works for him. They said it back in October. But we also know that Drew didn’t get the call. So, maybe you will remember the ringtone. He did not remember leaving the court. At least it didn’t trigger a memory.

So, I suspect that Kai might go to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) with this information. The problem is Kai and Trina were at Drew’s house, which no one else knows. That makes them look suspicious. So, that’s why I expect Kai might go to Alexis and not Justine or the police.

We know from the weekly promo, someone is at Alexis’ law office and she’s surprised to see them. It could be Kai, even if it’s not Trina, and he tells her that he has information but he can’t take it to the court or the police. And if he tells her about the ringtone, Alexis might say, “Okay, thanks. I’ll take it here. Leave it with me.”

Decision and Defense of Double Jeopardy in General Hospital

In court, both sides have concluded their case, it is time to close the discussions, negotiations and the decision. If Justine gets information from Kai and Trina’s powers, she can send it to reopen her side of the case. Judges don’t always allow that, but I don’t think they will go to him because it makes them look bad.

And of course, in our legal system, Alexis can absolutely withhold the kind of information that makes her client look guilty. An exception would be if he was given something like a murder weapon or a bloody glove. But this time, since it’s hearsay from Kai and Trina, who hid their presence at the scene during the shooting, Alexis can sit on top of it and protect her client.

I expect a not guilty verdict because, like I said, that’s a chain reaction. And if so, that means Willow is getting away with attempted murder. Alexis is a great lawyer and they only have some evidence against Willow. Then Justine tried to break him on the stand and did well to testify. I thought it was very sympathetic.

Post-Trial Fallout: Drew’s Memory and Willow’s True Nature in GH

But since both sides are resting and Kai and Trina don’t want to be arrested for hiding their presence during the shooting, I don’t think the ringtone will work in this case. We will see. Also, Alexis is desperate to win the case or she will lose access to Scout. So there’s no way Alexis will bring it up in court, even if Kai tells her to. But I’m sure it will come out after the fact, especially if Willow is released.

So, let’s talk about falling behind that possibility, which is a not guilty verdict. First, Kai might go to Drew and tell him that he heard Willow’s ringtone right after the shooting. Kai might confess to Drew, “Look, I was in the house doing some errands for you and Trina was with me and then we heard a gunshot and I heard a ringtone and we panicked and we didn’t tell the police.”

We also know that Drew has a memory that he’s recovering from and may remember Willow saying something after shooting him, something we haven’t seen, like, “You cost me my children, so I hate you. Burn in hell.” You know, something like that. When Drew finds out he’s married to the woman who shot him, it’s going to be violent.

Drew Faces a Bad Reality at General Hospital

Drew can’t even threaten to arrest Willow because she won’t be charged for it. If he’s found not guilty of shooting Drew, that’s it. It’s over. Willow could have shouted down the street that she shot Drew and not face anything because she will never be charged with the same crime again. That’s double jeopardy. It is against the Constitution.

So, Willow would be free and Drew would know that the woman he loves hates him so much that he tried to kill her. It’s pretty much a kick from karma right in his family values. Based on the latest 2026 spoiler, Michael may be investigated for Drew’s shooting soon because a new spoiler this winter says that Justine is investigating someone Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a crush on.

That fits Michael who turned into a suspect. And Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may be forced to direct the investigation of his brother Michael. It was exactly what Willow was hoping for. He wanted Drew dead and he wanted to frame Michael so he could get away with murder and Willow would get custody of her children. He wouldn’t face Drew.

General Hospital: Is Willow Like Nelle?

And finally, Willow is really badass as Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). Whatever kind of dirty genes you have, you know what it is. And we know it’s bad because his evil mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills), is a murderer. Those genes were passed down directly to Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) twin. Both Nelle and Willow are just bad, bad, bad.

So, wait to see the decision. But I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Willow got away with trying to kill her husband. And I can’t wait to see what Drew looks like when he finds out that Willow put two bullets in his back and totally despises him. He may dump Drew immediately after the decision. So, we’ll see how it goes.
