Ford Sets Record With 103 Safety + Recalls By 2025, Surpassing Previous High

FORD Motor Company has released more safety among motorists in 2025, with more than 103 displays, according to a report from Kelly Blue Movie.

With a third of the year remaining, Ford has already surpassed the previous annual record of 77 recalls, according to the report.

If the vehicle fails to meet the vehicle safety standards due to a safety-related issue, manufacturers are required to inform consumers of the issue. These recalls are intended to address safety issues before they become harmful.

Manufacturers typically initiate recalls to stay current with any potential fines and safety issues for drivers. However, the Federal Auto Regulator, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which is part of the Department of Transportation, can also issue a vehicle recall based on circumstances affecting the public.

Brian Moody, Senior Editor at AutoTrader, told FOX Business that he usually remembers it’s not a big deal because that’s the app. Most of the recalls today are voluntary and auto workers are rarely forced by law or government action, he said.

“However, when an automaker has a record number of recalls that cause concern. As sophisticated vehicles become ‘standard,’ Ford has stumbled in terms of quality,” said Ford.

Moody also pointed to old reports from the Kelly Blue Book showing that Ford has led industry recalls in 2022 and the following year, the second largest in Nhtsa’s history.

Ford was hit with a fine after an NHTSA investigation found that it failed to recall vehicles with ResearView Rearview cameras in a timely manner and failed to provide accurate and complete Traffic and Motor Vehicle Pheel information.
