The Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an emergency order Wednesday to reduce flights by 6% amid a “rapid decline” in air traffic controller calls.
The flight reductions were initially implemented as airports and critical traffic control towers as a result of the government shutdown caused by the government shutdown, which President Donald Trump officially ended on Wednesday night.

“Such strict standards suggest further reductions in aircraft reductions are not necessary to keep the traveling public safe. As the federal government has renewed and is looking to review their standards,” the order said.
6% snow will remain in place until the FAA can confirm it is safe to return to normal operations.
“The FAA’s safety team is excited to see the flexibility of our airmen, and they feel comfortable pausing the curtailment schedule to give us time to review AirSpace,” Duffy said, adding that “the safety of the American people comes first.”
Bedforfo emphasized those agencies, saying they are the FAA’s most important agency.

“The data shows that the control staff is improving rapidly, allowing us to hold a 6% reduction in aircraft while maintaining the highest levels of safety in our AirSpace,” Bed said. “We will continue to monitor the performance of the system hour by hour, and will not hesitate to make further changes if necessary.”
The new order said the list of 40 affected airports issued last week remains unchanged.

Trump suggested that administrators who work during the shutdown of the government without receiving income receive a salary of $ 10,000 to receive their service in the country.
“For those people who are air traffic controllers who don’t like the highway, and they couldn’t take any time to decrease the bonus of $ 10,000 per person for the service of our country,” he said in a matter of fact.
“For those who have done nothing but complain, and take time, even though everyone knows they will be paid, soon, because I am not happy with you,” said the President.
