A federal judge reportedly wants federal agents in the Chicago area to wear body cameras after a series of violent clashes with cultural (ice) mobs (ice).

US District Judge Sara Ellis, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, said that images of the conflicts on TV have left “Trump’s development continuing its crackdown on illegal immigration.

“The director of the field will explain to me why I see pictures of tear gas being sent and read reports that no warnings were given in the field,” said Ellis in court this week, according to the New York Times.

Last week, Ellis ordered Ice Agents to wear badges and barred them from using certain riot control tactics against peaceful protesters and journalists. Ice Agents reportedly used tear gas and took other measures as tension between traffic enforcement officials and the rising public.

“I get pictures and I see pictures in the news, in the paper, reading reports when I have problems being followed,” Ellis said.

“I have concerns about my order being followed,” the judge added this week, according to the Associated Press.

“I would add that all agents working in Operation Blitz wear body-worn cameras, and they should continue,” Ellis said, referring to the government’s crackdown.

Department of Justice Sean Skedzielewski reported in “systematic and selective press releases,” according to the AP. He also said that it will not be possible to distribute the cameras immediately.

“I understand that. I’m not going to expect agents to wear body cameras that they don’t have,” Ellis said, adding that the information could become effective over time.

He said the director of the field of enforcement efforts should appear in court on Monday.

Several Democrats, including Illinois Gov. Pritzker, have pushed back on the Trump Administration’s book-tightening policies. President Donald Trump recently called for Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson to be arrested for failing to protect agents of the ice.

“I will not go back down. Trump now wants to arrest elected representatives who test his power. What else has been left in the way of the full explosion of Authoritarianianism” Pritzker said they are responding to Trump on Oct. 8. “We must all stand up and speak.”
