Dubai unveils massive plan to become world’s healthiest city by 2033 – 310 new parks, 60 affordable schools, 15,000 airport jobs

Dubai has unveiled a new plan to become the healthiest and healthiest city in the world by 2033, with major initiatives in Urban Greenery, education, aviation, health care, finance and finance.

800 green projects and 310 new parks
The public parks and green plan will see the rollout of more than 800 projects, including:
- 310 new parks and improvements to 322 existing parks
- 120 new open spaces and 14 technology projects
- More than 70 rights ‘rights way to connect communities
The plan aims to increase annual park visits to 95m by 2040, triple the number of trees, and increase green areas to 187 square kilometers – the equivalent of 11 square meters per person.
All irrigation will use 100 percent recycled water, and 80 percent of residents will live within a five-minute walk of a local park and a ten-minute cycle ride of a state park.
15,000 Aircraft Jobs
The Aviation Talent 33 Initiative will strengthen Dubai’s position as the World Aviation Capital, especially as Al Maktoum International Airport expands into one of the largest in the world.
Objectives of the plan:
- 15,000 new job opportunities
- 4,000 training programs and climbs
- 30 New strategic partnerships with international airlines
- Emergence of leadership and functional roles
The move supports Dubai’s broader goal to double its economy, attract AED650bn ($177bn) in investment, and add 65,000 emiratis to the private sector workforce.
60 new affordable schools by 2033
To strengthen education and human capital, Dubai has adopted a new policy to expand and promote high quality schools.
The policy aims to attract 60 new schools by 2033, adding 120,000 student seats, with incentives such as reduced land rental costs and lower government fees to encourage investors.
The program supports the Dubai Education 2033 strategy, which seeks to place Dubai among the top 10 cities in the world for high quality education.
Expanding early health access
Dubai’s new project for the discovery of health will strengthen preventive care, help the city among the top ten in the world in terms of healthy life and reduce 52 diseases of death.
Keystones include:
- 40 PER Cent increase in early detection of colon cancer
- 50 percent increase in vaccination services
- Patient satisfaction over 90 percent with initial services
- The waiting time for an appointment has been reduced to seven days or less
Sheikh Hamdan said: “Protecting individual health is the key to protecting society and represents the future investment.”
Sports as a global industry
The Sports Sector 2033 Strategy, developed by the Dubai Sports Council, will transform Dubai into the world’s leading hub for sports, athletes, events, and sports investment.
The program puts 19 programs and 75 programs in 17 sports, 17 sports disciplines, to encourage participation among young people and serious people while attracting global sports events.
Financial Stability Through Conversion
The creation of a court for financial restructuring and bankruptcy will establish a special judicial structure for financial restructuring and bankruptcy cases.
The court will help protect transaction rights, avoid unnecessary monetary freezes, and effectively recapitalize, strengthening Dubai’s position as a third-party global financial center.
