Dubai Commerrity Plans New Feachment Center in 2026 as AI and E-Commerce Drive

Dubai Commerce has reported exceptional growth in all of its activities, with the business district reaching a level of occupancy almost worldwide as global technology, implant companies and e-commerce companies increase their presence in the free Smart Ecosystem.

Abdulrahman Shahin, Senior Vice President, Asset Management and Supply Chain for Dubai Commercial, said six new buildings are being built for the joint venture.

He said the Logistics district has reached 100 percent occupancy, driven by fashion, electronic companies and storage companies.

Shahin added that the social district has reached full capacity, with restaurants, cafes and shops now supporting the maritime business community.

He said the growth underscores the role of Dubai’s commercial hub DubIty as an important hub for the digital economy, aligned with the Dubai Digital Economy Strategy, which aims to double the sector’s contribution to GDP by 2032.

To meet the growing demand from digital marketing companies, Shahin revealed plans to establish a new e-commerce fulfillment center in the third quarter of 2026.

The program supports the UAE’s e-commerce strategy, which seeks to attract investment, support business innovation processes and increase the sector’s contribution to GDP.

Advantages of automated production

Shahin said that Dubai retail has introduced robotic systems to speed up order fulfillment and reduce processing time. The digital transformation led to a 158 percent increase in orders processed within one year, significantly reducing processing and delivery times.

He added that the strategic location of the Free Zone International Airport increases shipping and re-shipping, while the DCC Ecosystem enables access to 3 billion consumers in five hours.

Shahin highlighted the interest in investing in sustainable operations, smart technology and integrated reshipment infrastructure. Dubai Commerce uses environmentally friendly practices – including the use of treated water in wind systems, solar panels, advanced car charging stations that can fully charge a car in 32 minutes, and fully functional building systems – in all its locations.

He said that these programs demonstrate the free sea’s commitment to sustainable, smart infrastructure and infrastructure and strengthen its position as a destination of choice for companies focused on Green E-Commerce, clean technology and environmentally responsible operations.

Machine Learning

Shahin also pointed to investment in logistics infrastructure that supports international reflows and Dubai’s links to Dubai through a comprehensive plan of the diez under the Dubai Crossing strategy. He said investors are increasingly targeting the artificial intelligence, internet of things and machine learning sectors.

The free zone also supports start-up incubators and incentive programs, strengthening Dubai’s position as a global hub for Digital Innovation.
