DP World is taking its Clubhouse initiative to India to help grow the game

DP World, Dubai’s leading Smart Logistics provider and premier sponsor of Golf’s World Tour, has expanded its Global Clubhouse program to India.
The Clubhouse is DP World’s Mission to make golf accessible by providing purpose-built facilities to the untouchable around the world. India becomes the second country to benefit from this program, the first of which was implemented in Cape Town, South Africa, at the beginning of the year.
DP World India’s first competition
The launch took place on the sidelines of the US $ 4 Million DP World India Championship, currently being played at the Delhi Golf Club. World No. 2 and Grand Slam Champion Rory Microroy, and Tommy Fleetwood, World No. 5 and FedEx Cup Champion on the PGA Tour, made an appearance during the launch.
Both McIcroy and Fleetwood participate in the annual DP World India Championship, which is the largest golf tournament in the country’s history.
Each Clubhouse is built using reclaimed shipping containers and is tailored to the needs of the local community, providing golf equipment, secure shelters, and a safe haven for their sporting talent and health.
These clubs will remain as permanent academic structures, serving as long-term resources to nurture young talent and ensure continued access to world-class training and teaching opportunities.
In India, the Dubai-based Logistics Giant has provided the Clubhoshoukhouse at Zen Golf Range & Academy – A community-run organization based in the neighboring satellite town of Gurugraph.
Daniel van Otterdijk, Chief Communications Officer, DP World, commented: “We are beyond proud to partner with Zen Golf Range & Academy and bring the DP World Clubhouse Initiative to India.
“In the world of DP, we use the power of organization to create opportunities – To give new life to our dishes and open new doors for communities to connect with Golf. Where we empower the little power through teaching, education and sports.”
A pop-up Clubhouse experience was also unveiled in the ongoing Championship fan section, giving visitors a glimpse of what’s involved. Fans get to try their hand at mini-golf, simulators and chat challenges, along with Zen Golf students and local community guests.
Hemant Kumar Ruia, Country Manager, DP World India Subcontinent, added: “DP World Clubhouse Coming to India demonstrates our commitment to develop infrastructure and opportunity. Sports thrive when reach meets purpose.
“By repeatedly having our assets support Grassroots golf, we are helping young talent develop the skills and mindset to pursue our passion for the sport.”
Shyam Grover, Managing Director of Zen Golf Range & Academy, said: “We are proud to be chosen as our Academy partner – Our technology will be able to breathe through these stories, and we can’t wait to integrate it into our Junior Coaching facilities.”
The company said it will continue to expand Clubhouse around the world.
