Days of Our Lives: Stefan DiMera Comes Back from the Dead – Vivian Takes Out the FBI!

Days of Our Lives shows that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) can be very alive and well. His mother, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), is definitely hiding something about Stefan’s fate.

It seems that Gabi Hernandez’s (Cherie Jimenez) ex-husband may return to Salem at some point.

Did Vivian Alamain Document Stefan DiMera’s Death on Days of Our Lives?

Vivian recently told Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that her son Stefan died when his heart, which was transplanted from his identical twin Jake DiMera late last year. In the beginning, Vivian gave a photo of Stefan’s headstone in Alamainia, but that didn’t mean anything.

Vivian then provided a copy of Stefan’s death certificate, but she didn’t turn it in until December 2025, two full months after Stefan died. That seems really short. Rafe and Eli think it’s sad, too.

Vivian is an expert in documenting. Look at the chaos Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) caused when he faked that letter from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) saying he wanted Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) to be his heir. That worked too.

Because they had their doubts, while Rafe and Eli were doing their official business in Alamainia, they went ahead and had Stefan’s remains exhumed for DNA testing.

When Rafe and Eli go to Alamainia to investigate the CCTV feed in the crypt, they return to Salem with more information than they bargained for. This week they met the host who was fired by Vivian.

The FBI agents discovered that Vivian had held Stefan against his will to the point that he died in captivity, a part they knew nothing about.

When Rafe and Eli started questioning the woman, they expected to hear that the man arrested in the house was Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte). Vivian swore up and down that Dmitri was an unwelcome house guest before kicking him out and sending him back to Salem without his belongings.

Instead, the host said he didn’t know who Dmitri was. He told the agents that the only man he saw in the house under arrest was Stefan and that he was in good health. He was trying to stay fit in captivity and talked about losing his wife.

The host said that was last year, about eight to ten months before he died. When Rafe and Eli tell him that Stefan is dead, the former housekeeper looks shocked. According to him, Stefan did not seem to be sick when he was working for Vivian.

Now Rafe knows that Stefan didn’t leave Salem willingly and he didn’t want to divorce Gabi. It was taken from him and Vivian is to blame. The audience knows that Stefan wanted to reconcile with Gabi and work on their marriage.

It was then that Vivian’s servant, Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera), took Stefan outside, put him in his car, and drove him to Alamainia. Vivian wanted to control Stefan’s life and did not approve of his marriage to Gabi.

Vivian probably wouldn’t agree that any woman was good enough for her son. We even got to see Vivian sign Stefan’s signature on the divorce decree he left with Gabi before he left town.

Will Gabi Hernandez dump Philip Kiriakis for Stefan DiMera?

Now, a year later, Gabi still thinks that her ex-husband wanted to leave her and Salem far behind. He is currently grieving his death. I can’t wait until Gabi hears that Stefan was taken by his mother and wanted to be with her.

However, I feel for Philip. He was really supportive of Gabi’s feelings about her late husband. Wait until Gabi finds out that she was cheated of a future with Stefan; that will sting.

Gabi and Philip are also going on a romantic trip to Miami. This news can put a strain on their budding relationship. I think Gabi would drop Philip like a hot stone and bring Stefan back if he went back to Salem.

Twin Switch: Could Jake DiMera Be In Stefan DiMera’s Grave?

The way Vivian pulled her face when Eli and Rafe asked her made me think she was hiding something. I really don’t think Stephen is dead. I think he’s probably very much alive, and maybe Vivian sent him somewhere to hide him before Rafe and Eli show up.

It would have been really dangerous for Vivian to keep Stefan in the area while the FBI searched the area. Rafe and Eli must learn from the FBI lab that the DNA of the exhumed remains matches Stefan.

Although that makes it look like he really is dead, he had an identical twin, Jake, who is also dead and will be a DNA match. Vivian could put Jake’s remains in Stefan’s casket. I wonder if Rafe and Eli will consider checking out Jake’s grave, too.

Vivian Alamain and Peter Blake’s Master Plan for the DiMera Estate on Days of Our Lives

If Stefan really died in October, then Vivian had no motive to work with Peter Blake (Jason Brooks) to arrange DiMera’s kidnapping. It now seems pretty clear that Vivian was at least a partner in this crime, if not the mastermind.

Unless Stefan was alive, Vivian would not have participated because she would not have had a chance to hold any of Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) inheritance. I suspect that Vivian lied and said that Stefan had died so she and Peter could discuss dividing the inheritance.

Then, Stefan can come back alive and he and Peter can run the DiMera company together since there are only two DiMera left if he kills everyone in the crypt as planned.

Days of Our Lives spoilers: The Fall of Stefan DiMera’s Return

At this point, there are so many red flags that Stefan DiMera is probably alive. I’ll give you a 98% chance. Furthermore, people rarely stay dead Days of Our Lives.

When Gabi and Philip commit to each other, that’s the perfect time for Stefan to run away from wherever Vivian is hiding him. He will probably run away from his evil mother and return to Salem to reunite with Gabi.

If Stefan lives, there will be more fallout. Philip could end up being collateral damage, which would be ironic since he is its CEO The Titan mainly because of Vivian’s art.

I expect more twists and turns soon because Rafe is looking for answers. Once back in Alamania, Rafe will confirm to Gabi that Stefan is dead based on the DNA results. But those results would be accurate but misleading if Jake’s remains were in that grave.
