Days of Our Lives: Joy Wesley’s Shocking Return – Is She Having Alex’s Baby?!

Days of Our Lives confirms that AlexAnn Hopkins is returning as Joy Wesley. Which means she might have Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) baby when she arrives in Salem.

I’m so excited for Joy’s return and all the drama she might bring for Alex and his wife, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). We have a lot to talk about so let’s dive in!

Days of Our Lives: Joy Wesley’s Exit from Salem

So, if you remember, Joy left town pregnant with Alex’s baby last March but lied to Stephanie and Alex. It was clear that Joy was pregnant but she lied to them, I think because she knew Alex was going to be with Stephanie no matter what. Another rejection of Joy…

Longtime fans may recall that Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) and her now ex-husband, Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas), conceived Joy as a donor to help save their daughter, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), who had leukemia. No one else in their family was like bone marrow so they made a match to save him.

Thankfully, baby Joy was born and saved her older sister Chloe’s life. He was the savior of his country. Later, in 2005, when Joy was only 2 years old, she was the little flower girl at Chloe and Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) wedding. But soon after, the Wesley family moved to New York.

Joy Wesley Returns to Salem as an Adult on DOOL

Joy Wesley returned to her hometown nearly 20 years later as an adult on October 22, 2024, marking her debut as an adult version of the character. Nancy lures Joy to Salem to get her a soap opera audition for Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds). Body and Soul.

If you remember Joy was very happy when she got the role of Reagan Holloway, the actress who liked to stir up trouble on Arrow (played by Alex) and Faith (played by Chanel Dupree) in the soap within the soap.

Joy and Alex had instant chemistry while delivering lines and blocking scenes. The two actors ended up hooking up after a New Year’s Eve party, sparking a short, hot and difficult romance in early 2025. However, their progress Body and Soul it ended in February 2025.

So, Alex gave Joy a job The Titan. And he agreed. He also had true feelings for Alex, but broke up with Joy, admitting that he had unresolved feelings for Stephanie. If you remember, she was dating Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) at the time.

Not only did Joy lie to Stephanie about being pregnant, but Joy also lied to Alex. And in true soap fashion, Joy decided to leave town without telling Alex she was carrying his child. Joy left Salem on March 19, 2025, and returned to New York to be with her family again.

And from there, Alex and Stephanie’s relationship blossomed. They first lived together. And lately, they’ve been involved in a big plot to capture his attacker, turned kidnapper twice, Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey).

Right now, Alex is suffering from anxiety and is doing everything he can to bring Stephanie home safely and away from Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark), whom Alex continues to suspect. Meanwhile, Stephanie is imprisoned with Jeremy in a storage room near EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) secret lab.

So, right now, Joy Wesley is the furthest thing from Alex or Stephanie’s mind. They want an end to all these kidnappings and kidnappings. And hopefully it will happen soon. But more drama is on the way even after Jeremy and Stephanie are saved.

Joy Wesley Returns on Days of Our Lives and May Take Alex’s Baby

Joy Wesley is expected to return on April 24 Peacock soap. And the timing makes sense because May’s sweep starts on April 23 and lasts until May 20. With her coming back during the sweep, I have no doubt that she still had Alex’s baby at that time.

Except that Days of Our Lives you are really weird with the timing, you should have given birth in late november or early december. So, Joy should have a five or six month old baby. Of course you know from Salem Spectator Updates that Alex and Stephanie are engaged and planning to marry.

But since they talked in private, Joy may not know that they are married. But surely, he will find out that Stephanie is Alex’s wife before he returns to Salem. This baby bomb could jeopardize Stephanie and Alex’s marriage.

Of course, Stephanie and Alex will both be furious that Joy lied to them. But they may not know the truth right away. Because Joy could leave the child back in New York and come to Salem alone to check things out before deciding what to do.

Alex and Stephanie’s Marriage Faces Days of Our Lives Child Drama

Hot on the heels of Alex suffering from Stephanie’s kidnapping, this is big drama to come. You remember that Alex and Stephanie had a talk before they got married about having children.

Alex wants a bunch of kids, but Stephanie isn’t sure if she wants them, even though she hasn’t come out and told Alex straight up that kids aren’t on the table. But if Jeremy is released, Owen is arrested or killed, they can go back to this conversation.

And if Alex finds out from Stephanie that she never wanted kids and Joy meets Alex’s baby, that could really mess up the newlyweds. Joy Wesley returns to Salem in just 7 weeks as May sweeps begin and I’m looking forward to the baby mama drama Alex and Stephanie will face.
