In the same period, Scouneweb data shows that social reality has grown significantly on mobile devices by 32%, although Forbes notes that activity varies significantly from month to month.
Bluesky, the social media platform created by the founder of Twitter Counder Jack Dorsey, saw a surge in users following the election of President Donald Trump in 2024, many of them fleeing conservative voices. Dorsey stepped down from Bluesky’s board last year.
Although the spike in usage looks promising, the daily active users on Bluesky fell every year in 2025. Some in the press have argued that left-wing rhetoric and a lack of similar calibers of memes have slowed its growth.
