Maher said the left wants to “cut it off.” He argued that Trump was yelling at people, but said he didn’t want to cut it.

“Well, that’s true because, the Republicans have been very kind to me, from the beginning. I mean from the beginning, when Bobby was running as a democrat,” Hines said.

Maher argued during the Podcast that Republicans lack a “chip in compassion.” He and Hines agreed they’ve always felt compassion was at the core of the Democratic party, but it didn’t feel that way in its current state.

“It’s sad, because that’s not the Democrats we grew up with,” Maher said.

You are not just complicated people. Hitting another show on our network: ‘You don’t have certain people.’ Serious people talk to each other, and accept that you’re going to get to the point where you don’t agree,” Maher said.
