“I think it would be a disaster, although I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case, that he would lose his jobs because this is a very bad list, but there is a very bad kind. It’s a witch hunt for people who are not close enough. You know, it’s not like us in the cell,” said Maher.
Mather talked about Hines about how he was criticized by liberals for meeting with President Donald Trump earlier this year, despite his repeated attacks on him and his policies. Both show how they are treated or received by Republicans vs Democrats.
“I always say to my friends who woke up, we voted for that person, why he lost,” Maher said, referring to former Congresswoman Kamala Harris.

Maher said the left wants to “cut it off.” He argued that Trump was yelling at people, but said he didn’t want to cut it.

Maher argued during the Podcast that Republicans lack a “chip in compassion.” He and Hines agreed they’ve always felt compassion was at the core of the Democratic party, but it didn’t feel that way in its current state.

He explained that when he talks to the figures on the right, they often argue and argue, but they find when they agree to disagree, and they remain friends after that.
“The left is not that way. They’re like, ‘No, if you’re not with me, if —— it’s hate, and you have a refuge, or you’re talking about hitler or something.’ And it’s like, you kids, you’re such kids. You are not just complicated people. Maher was talking about the famous quote from the media Titan Logan Roy in the HBO “sequence, where he tells his children that he loves them, but” serious people. “
