Bessent’s response came after Warren issued a letter expressing concern and asking for answers as to why the Trump administration is continuing to provide Argentina with a lifetime financial life as its economy is struggling, which began on Octwordow 1.

Warren fired back at Bessent on Wednesday and said Trump was more focused on helping an “agricultural partner” than dealing with US problems during the shutdown.

Warren, the top Democrat on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, introduced the Argentine bailout bill in October. The measure could be written in the Trump Administration by using the Investor Development Fund to try to exchange the department, which provides funds to foreign governments, to help Argentina.
Warren’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Bessent announced on Oct. 9 that the Ministry of Finance will enter into a currency exchange agreement with the central bank of Argentina.
