Athletic Sunk by Bordalas, Villarreal Win derby

Real Sociedad 2-1 Sevilla

Real Socienad secured a major result for the future of Manager Sergio Francisco on Friday night at Anoeta, picking up their second win of the season. In a competitive game that saw both sides try to finish each other off, La Real took an early lead through Mikel Oyarzabal’s penalty in the first half.

Sevilla leveled things up after Nemanja Gudelj’s strike from a crowded box went into the net. The winner came after only 36 minutes, there was a mistake from Angel Angel Carmona who was thrown to Oyarzabal again, who was building in the corner. Sevilla couldn’t apply enough pressure in the second half to find the Equalizer, lifting Real LA to a relegation zone by nine points.

Girona 3-3 Real Ovidedo

Real Girona and Oviedo shared points in an exotic game that tasted bittersweet for both michel sanchez and luis carrion. Federico VINAS opened the scoring with a penalty in the first half, and after Salomon Rondon headed home a corner, it looked like Carrion was set for his first victory.

Cristhian Stuani was sent on to save the game, and minutes later he converted a penalty to reduce the deficit with 25 minutes to go. It was Moroccan Midfieldine Ozzedine Ounzahi who almost got them but, after a brilliant strike in the 83rd minute, he won a penalty in the last minute of the game. Stuani hit the penalty home again in Delirium of Montelivi.

Directed to Oviedo, they responded, and Alberto Reina is important, criticizing the ball in the post. After Paulo Gazzaniga saved a successful effort, David Carmo was still there to pull home the equalizer in the 98th. The point keeps Oviedo and Girona at the bottom with seven points.

The result moves Espanyol up to fourth, and hands ELCHE their second defeat of the season, allowing the home side to celebrate their 125th day in style.

Athletic Club 0-1 GETAFE

For the first time, Jose Bordalas guided GetAfe to a famous victory in San Mamment. Despite the return of Nico Williams, Athletic was successfully improved throughout, and as their concern, GetEFE entered the opening spaces at the back. Moving down UNAI forced UNAI Simon to Good Gove to Mario Martin Header, but BORJA IMerd was alone after sending back.

But Villarreal were confident they would get their chances, and after Gerard Moreno converted a penalty at the end of the first half, Santi Woomaana made a very comfortable run into the box. Marcelino Garcia Toral’s side lie third with six wins from 10 games, while Valencia remain bottom, just two points above the relegation zone.
