Amazon’s Smart Glasses for on-demand drivers offer the Amazon Glight of the future

If you feel like there’s one big name missing from the growing smart hype, you can mark amazon on your combo bingo card now. Amazon has officially added Fray to Smart glasses, announcing a pair of upgrades that you can only get when your paychecks are signed by Jeff Bezos. Its glasses, monochromatic glasses with a screen on the lens, are designed specifically for the delivery of drivers.

As you might have guessed, smart glasses use computer vision to help scan packages, provide turn-by-turn directions, and can even take photos for proof of delivery. It’s not the most impressive of smart glasses, but it makes a lot of sense, because doing all that would be so much easier if you could do it hands-free.

Where the help really starts to show is in computer skills, though. Amazon says it wants to use its smart glasses to help find the right package by scanning the numbers and providing helpful hints about imminent security risks. What are the types of security risks, you ask? Amazon says the glasses can warn you about “low light” and “change lenses,” which makes you think it can make your scene brighter? It can also alert wearers of pets or the biggest danger of all – a driver who accidentally delivers the wrong package to the wrong place. To be honest, I don’t think most people need smart glasses to tell them it’s dark or that a dog is barking at them, but I think the idea is interesting.

Speaking of safety, one thing Amazon doesn’t reveal is whether drivers should use these fancy glasses while… driving. Amazon clearly states that the navigation feature is designed for travel, but does not mention any function (or limitation) while in the van. Similarly, Meta has it suggested That you should not use its Meta Ray-Ban-Ban glasses show while driving, but in fact you did not provide any measures to protect driving with its Display Glass on your head without a small warning, which is not too bad.

I think what’s more interesting about Amazon’s Delivery Glass is what they have to say about its future plans in the space. While Amazon has not announced any official product to consumers yet, they are already reporting that the device is in the works. In terms of details, its delivery glasses are just one of many products it can plan, including a consumer-oriented jayhawk that focuses on the product you have and has a screen on it.

There are no official details on that pair of Smart Glaes, but the official Amazon glasses offer some points on what the Jawhawk can bring to the table. In one, there is wandering; Turn-by-turn indicators are not only useful for on-demand drivers; it is something that one can take advantage of. There’s also a heavy-duty computer vision installation, which isn’t New-Meta’s Ray-Bans that also have the muscle of computer vision capabilities – but it’s still illuminating to see legitimate power. Photos of the glass prototype show a center-aligned camera, too, which is definitely a choice. Giving cyclops e-commerce.

One thing Amazon doesn’t touch is any kind of voice assistant, but I think we can all assume that Alexa will play a role in both pairs of glasses. Although there was no mention of Alexa, Amazon did not leave the installation methods completely. One surprising aspect of the delivery of Amazon Smart glasses is that it can include additional hardware to control it, although the associated financial services are still a bit hit. In the words of Amazon:

“The glasses show a small control that is worn on the vest that contains the active use, and an emergency button dedicated to access the emergency services and their routes if needed.”

If this reminds you of the meta’s ray reflection Clearly, Amazon sees the DAD-GADGET value, which seems to be the way most smart glasses are going right now. Obviously, this is all basic at the moment, but the delivery – focused or not, the functional glasses that work legally give us some important hints that their head is there. There is no hard release date where we can expect Amazon to succeed in Consumer Glass in the future, but informational reports could be in the next year or the year after. If I were Amazon, I wouldn’t wait too long for the competition to heat up.
