Adnoc launches Moumeous Drone project to reduce emergency response times at all UAE Energy sites

Adnoc has partnered with the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and aspire to test autonomous kilometers in response to emergencies, marking a step towards fully integrating the intelligence of integration into the management of the infrastructure of the UAE Egries.
The pilot, announced during the independent Abu Dhabi in the week of 2025, will see the transmission of Drone Thone Skula live video from the Crisis’s Crisis Management Center, to provide real-time information during industrial emergencies. The system will provide Drones assigned to Adnoc sites to start automatically during incidents, small distance units and small support drones connected to the national headquarters for nationwide coverage.
“Emergencies demand speed and clarity, and this collaboration is about delivering both,” said Andrew Strefford, senior manager at Aspire. He described it as “an example of how applied research can transform deep technologies into life-saving solutions that redefine critical industries.”
This comes as Abu Dhabi pushes forward with its focus on autonomous applications and AI. The move also reflects a broader trend among national oil companies to deploy unplanned systems for asset monitoring, worker safety and environmental protection.
This project, led by the TII robotics research institute, combines many types of drone, from long flights to Sward-based aircraft, in a unified framework that can be measured by adnoc performance. In major emergency situations, the army of autonomous drones can be launched from “marking” to inspect large areas, find people involved and communicate with the information transmitted to the field teams.
“ADNOC BUILDING is a structured, multi-functional system that combines autonomous, creative and multi-functionality in one seamless framework,” said Professor Enrico Nataliziio, senior researcher at Tii’s Automonomous Roboomous Corovotomoroumonoumous Robotic Carotomorous Caroumous Cheever Cela Centrouse
“By connecting directly to Adnoc’s Crisis Management Center, we are ensuring expertise that can be measured in international energy and services.”
The pilot will operate under Adnoc’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy, with full operational acceptance contemplated after successful testing. If taken, it can set an example that the operators of the most important infrastructure of the Gulf, from oil and paper to transportation and materials, resistance and independence to strengthen the safety and resilience of disasters.
“Through this agreement with TII and aspire, we aim to explore how the combined Drone forces can provide real-time intelligence to all of our finances,” said Khaled Alblooshi, Phromembangameli of Digital Projects and Innovations at Adnoc.
For Abu Dhabi, the project is in line with the desire of the Emirate to become a global Hub for independent research, the position of R & D of its system, as a basis for proving Real-World Research Opps that can be sent to all industries and borders.
