Abu Dhabi unveils the first vertiport network and 29 independent transportation projects

Abu Dhabi has announced a major step in its transformation into a Global Hub for advanced, sustainable and independent travel, the UAE’s first export agreements and 29 new commercial technologies.
The measures, led by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) in collaboration with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Airport Authority (ADA Dubai Mobility (ADA DHABI AIRDS AIRTSTS (ADA DHABI AIRDS AIRTSTS (ADA DHABI Airports (A Key Pillar of the Emirate’s Segregation Plan)
Together, they mark a defining moment in the creation of a diversified Transportation ecosystem that includes AIR taxis, autonomous vehicles and AI-Dheivent Logistics, Abu Dhabi’s position in global travel.
Abu Dhabi Vertiport Network
The Vertiport network, which consists of more than 10 sites of the state, will enable the operation of electric vertical and landing (evtol) flights in strategic areas of Abu Dhabi, facilitate low-cost travel between Urban, business, and tubs.
Zayed International Airport and AL BEASEEN EGCEAL Airport have been confirmed as anchor points, with future phases connecting Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, and Abu Dhabi Island.
Abu Dhabi Airports will act as an anchor investor and a primary delivery partner, while Abu Dhabi Migration and the GCAA are responsible for safety, operations, and integration across the wider travel network.
Each vertiport will be integrated with transport infrastructure and digital infrastructure, supporting smart travel systems and multimodal connectivity across the emirate.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, said that this move marks a new era for the UAE’s aviation infrastructure, aligning with the nation’s plan to build an advanced AIR ecosystem, set to serve as the first countries in the world.

On the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Automotive Autoloumous Automit conference, Adio announced new financing agreements with global and local technologies, enabling autonomous technologies in transition from full commercial operations.

Agreements for e-commerce, food delivery, health products, and industrial automation, establishing Abu Dhabi as one of the first cities in the world to operate within a regulatory environment that is fully integrated with the infrastructure of autonomous systems.
Badr Al-Olama said: “Abu Dhabi is leading the revolution in Smart mobility and logistics, with these 29 pilot agreements marking decisive steps towards the future of commerce.
“Anchored by Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industries (Savi), these agreements translate decades of R & D into a tangible commercial deployment.”
From drones to unsuspecting clues
The agreements involve private pilots of Drone Developme by Lodd, working with Purelab, in the afternoon, with Aramex, to transport medical samples, parcels, and mail between screening stations.
Sinaha Technology is developing an AI-driven world through autonomous vehicles, robots, and autolovix, while autologix is teaming up with Emirates PORTS to launch Level 4 Cargo Transport.
In addition, in collaboration with Talabat and ENEC, it is exploring AI-powered electric delivery troops and autonomous drones
Those pilots develop stable, electrical, and data components, to improve efficiency and support Emirate’s Net-zero targets.
Independent Economy
Integrated systems – Integrated air travel, land transport, and integrated materials – show the Emirate’s integrated approach to good travel, where the law, and the date of renewal and independent systems council (SASC).
This framework enables real-world deployment and commercial deployment of autonomous technologies while ensuring security, sustainability and scalability.
Dr. Abdulla Hamad, acting director of the Integrated Transport Center, said the VertiPort Network represents “an important vision in shaping the future of urban mobility,” reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s vision for next-generation mobility.
Elena Sorlini, managing director and chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “As a delivery partner of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Airports will be critical in shaping the infrastructure of the Emirate’s travel.”
