A mature Republican’s discussion of the future – now

Politico published an article on Tuesday that revealed mature conversations among Republican minority leaders across the country. The messages included racist and antisemitic rhetoric, comparing black people to camps, and just one reading “I love Hitler.” And if you read some of the political analysis that follows, this is just another person in the future in the Republican party. But I have bad news for anyone who didn’t get the memo. The future is now.
The next political article ran with the headline “Mature Young Teen Messages May Be the Future of Politics.” The Washington Post went with the headline, “are these young Republicans in the future? If so, the party is in trouble.” Steve Schmidt, the founder of the republican group the Lincoln project, which is reflected in the documents and what they represent the ‘future.’
“They have been beaten in the container of a sick society,” Schmidt said this week in his podcast this warning. And Schmidt is quite right about the Sick Society part. But my concern is not the future of the Republican party. It’s true that we show it every day here in 2025.
It makes sense that people don’t want to believe what they see with their own eyes. Billionaire Elon Musk gave two Nazi salutes on Jan. 20, Trump’s day was ripe for the second time, and it was intense to watch.
How can the richest man in the world be seen for his support of the Nazis? Musk would later come out and eventually deny that he was driving the Nazis wrong, but we all know what we saw. There was no disability. It wasn’t meant to be “My heart goes out to you,” as he tried to call them. It was a clear message, and he did it twice. There is no mistake that.
Not long after Musk’s greetings, two other people at CPAC in February did, including top Trump advisor Steve Bannon. They push the limits, see how far they can go, and then do it again.
Part of the reason people talk about this hateful structure and antisemitism as “the future” is that the organization with mature party organizations is called the minority Republicans. But these are not new. They are men and women in their 20s and 30s. As Politico notes, the young republican National Federation, with nearly 15,000 members, is made for people in the 1840s. Just kid yourself, actually.
Today’s Republican Party controls all powerful severs. They have a majority in the Supreme Court, they have the white house, and they control the house and the senate. What do they do with energy? Making extreme racism and antisemitic content for public consumption, it seems to get bolder with each new statement and official statement.
Just then this week, white people in X saw an Instagram video posted back in August that included songs like “geli Me” and ” This video was 13 seconds long, which means that the use of an invisible version of that Michael Jackson Song, and those specific words, was very deliberate.
The Border has removed the video from Instagram and Facebook, sending GizModo a petulant statement after the fact: “We have removed the post and will consider it as a different alien.” But that is not the end of the story. Far from it.
When anti-President JD Vence was asked about the mature writings of the lower class, he tried to position them as EDGE, Horrible Behavior.
“They tell jokes, they’re offensive, they say, that’s what kids do,” Venance said, according to NBC News. “And I really don’t want us to grow up in a world where a kid telling a stupid joke, is an excuse to waste a lot of time risking a group of 21-year-olds to ruin a kid’s life all the time. That’s not right.”
The Trump administration has had trouble ruining people’s lives very little. Remember Rümeysa Öztürk, the Turkish student at Tufts University who was kidnapped by the secret police in March and thrown into an ice center? He has written about protecting free speech for free speech and Palestinian rights on campus. And he spent six weeks in jail for it.
Ironically, Secretary of State Marco Rubio claimed that Öztürk’s visa was revoked for “antisemitism” and support for terrorism. The Washington Post reported that the State Department found no internal evidence that it had done such a thing.
Vance’s attitude toward mature literature is telling. In another era, many of the political activities of sharing highly racist messages would have been completely hidden, even by many Republicans. But we live in the age of Trump, a time when you need to defend race as either trolling or perfectly acceptable.
Vance helped spread the racist lie that Haitian students in Ohio were eating dogs and cats during the 2024 campaigns — a lie that led to social media memes like X.
“The American media completely ignored this thing until Donald Trump and I started talking about cat memes,” means that it will create news so that the American media will really pay attention to the suffering of the American people, then that’s what I’m going to do. “
And that pretty much sums up what we’re using here. It’s all about excessive racism that can be beaten back or directed as reminders and pulls down. But the undercover men who collect people on America’s streets don’t just walk around. And everyone should know now that we are dealing with a Fascist government that will stop at nothing to get back at us as it sees fit.
The Guardrails are gone. Not tomorrow, not months or years from now. They left today. The Trump administration is killing people in the Caribbean on a regular basis, rounding up US citizens who don’t look white enough, and holding a personality that protesters and advisers don’t like. And they are not ashamed to lie about everything, while calling the Democrats a group of “Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens and violent criminals,” according to the White House spokesman, “as the White House spokesman,” as the White House spokesman, “as the White House spokesman,” as the White House spokesman, ” House,” according to a White House spokesman.
Good Americans need to figure out what to do about it. That part is obviously difficult, given the endless resources of the Trump administration and the President’s willingness to simply break the law. But we get better soon if we want to see the other side of this.
