Devil Fruits give superpowers to characters who find and eat them, and are the source of Monkey D. Luffy’s power. But how do these fruits work, and why are they so important?
In the world of One piecethere are many Devil Fruits spread throughout the world, and if one eats them, they are permanently granted superhuman powers. However, those with Devil Fruit powers are said to hate the sea, and the effect of eating it is that the person who uses it will not be able to swim forever. Which, obviously, wouldn’t sit well with the many pirates and pirates we follow in the series.
Each Devil Fruit in One piece you are unique, and no two Devil Fruits have the same power. Also, a person who has eaten the Devil’s fruit cannot eat another one, or he will die. They are extremely rare in the universe and often fetch very high rewards, making them highly desirable even for those who have no interest in finding the power within.
Three Kinds of Devil’s Fruit

Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits allow users to transform into ancient animals, such as dinosaurs, while Artificial Zoans are created from fruits that permanently give users an animal aspect. The rarest are the Mythical Zoans, which are rare Devil Fruits One piece general. As the name suggests, this allows the user to transform into mythical creatures such as dragons.
Besides the fruits of the Mythical Zoan, Logia Devil Fruits they are the rarest and most powerful One piece the whole place. Logia fruits allow the user to create, control, or transform their body into a natural element, such as lightning or darkness. This brings us back to Paramecia Devil Fruits, which give users powers that don’t fall into the other two categories.

Monkey D. Luffy’s Devil Fruit Is The Gomu Gomu No Mi
As the main character of One pieceLuffy’s Gomu Gomu no Mi is clearly one of the most interesting Devil Fruits in the series. It is classified as a Paramecia fruit, and gives Luffy’s body rubber properties.
With this power, Luffy can easily stretch, expand, inflate, bend, and twist his body, limbs, and even his limbs. Luffy also invented ways to transform using his Devil Fruit powers, which he called Gears.
For example, Luffy can combine his Devil Fruit power with his Haki (the character’s ability to One piece using their wind energy) to power his Gear 4 form, where he will infuse his muscle structure with wind to greatly increase his offensive and defensive power. Devil fruits can be resurrected by their users, which Luffy has done with his Gomu Gomu no Mi fruit.
