Days of Our Lives with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) is almost ready to resurrect a mysterious woman in a cryogenic test tube. But the question is: who is the baby in the icebox? Will it be Lexi Carver (Renee Jones)? Could it be Abigail Deveraux (AnnaLynne McCord)? Or is another dead DiMera lady about to be resurrected?

I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for EJ’s project and Dr. Rolf of the humanities lived. Some fans are convinced it’s Lexi, but others are wondering if it’s Abigail coming back to give Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) the joy of his life. We have a lot to cover.

Exploring the DiMera Family Tree: Why Renee DuMonde Isn’t the Mystery Woman on Days of Our Lives

First, I want to find out what this woman cannot be. At this point, it is very clear who this woman is, she is someone close to EJ. He is an important person to her. That means it’s a woman next to DiMera or DiMera.

A long time Days of Our Lives viewers may recall Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) had another daughter, Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler). She arrived in Salem in the early 1980s and had a secret, forbidden love affair with Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis).

Renee later had many marriages but she never found happiness after that because Stefano’s daughter died at a very young age. She was only 22 years old when Renee was killed in 1983 by Salem Stalker, also known as Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis).

The last time he was resurrected in any story was when Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) was drugged and kidnapped by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and dumped on DiMera Island. That was a few years ago. Sarah read Renee’s diary and became confused and thought it was really her.

Then Sarah was trying to meet Tony, which was just weird. But as far as we know, Renee is really dead. Also, EJ wasn’t even born when Renee was alive. It wouldn’t make sense considering how personal EJ was talking to the test tube chick. I think we can cross Renee off the list.

The Case Against Daphne DiMera’s Return to Days

I also do not think that the patient of Dr. Rolf plans to revive Daphne DiMera (Madlyn Rhue), Stefano’s ex-wife. Daphne was on screen and in Salem from 1982 to 1984. When she was pregnant with her son Tony DiMera, she fled to Australia to raise her under DiMera’s influence. Later, we saw Daphne die in a plane crash.

He is another person EJ has never met. Daphne died long before EJ was born. Of course he knows his sister Renee and he knows his father’s wife Daphne, but he didn’t know them and had nothing to do with them. Other than these two, and Abigail and Lexi, there aren’t a ton of dead DiMera women who could be candidates for this test tube persona. Because EJ DiMera spoke to the mysterious woman about love, we know he knew her very well and cares about her even now.

That brings us to the possibility of Abigail or Lexi in that big cold test tube. When Clyde Weston (James Read) stabbed Abby to death in 2022, we all saw how it destroyed Chad. He never heard of Abby’s death and is now raising their two children, Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) and Charlotte DiMera (Olivia & Oakley Rondou). He is a widower and a single father who is unlucky in love. Maybe that’s because he’s destined to get his true love back.

To make matters worse, Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) gave the whole family false hope by pretending to be Abby when she entered Days place. When Cat Greene’s plan was revealed, she ended up helping Chad find Clyde. They also found Catharina Meleounis (Ellie Patrikios), Cat Greene’s mother, whom Clyde Weston had captured and used to force the cat to do bad things.

Before Catharina shot Clyde, she had told Chad that Abigail was not dead. He was about to say more until Catharina shot him. Now, Clyde is still unconscious. We know that Chad and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) dug up Abby’s grave and her remains were missing. In the present moment, no one is looking for Abby’s remains, although Jack Deveraux, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves), and Chad DiMera want her to be put to rest.

EJ DiMera’s Redemption Arc and Potential Abigail Recast on DOOL

Yes, EJ cares about Abby. He had a fling with her, if you remember. More importantly, EJ knows how much Chad loves him. EJ really regrets betraying Chad by meeting Abby back in the day. I realized that if EJ had the chance to wake up Abby and reunite Chad’s family, he would.

It might help redeem EJ from the many misdeeds he has in the much-hated Salem lineup. I saw her talking kindly and lovingly to “Frozen Abby” if that’s who she is. I think Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will support you in resurrecting your dead sister.

He helps pay the bill for a secret mad science lab. However, Gwen is not someone who likes to cheat with Chad and try to get revenge on Abby just because she grew up with their father, Jack Deveraux, nearby. If Gwen was involved in Abby’s resurrection, that would help free her as well.

Days of Our Lives: Forward Stream Changes

Also, in April, we’ll get a reimagined Chad and a reimagined Thomas, which would be the perfect time for Abby to come back from the dead. If he does come back, I would expect a reprise of that character. Maybe Dr. Rolf revives her and Abby remains unconscious until April when the recurring boys in her life start, or maybe hide her until she recovers.

Is Lexi Carver Coming Back To Rock Abe And Paulina’s Lives On DOOL?

As much as I would love to see Chad bring Abby back, I still suspect Dr. Rolf is bringing Lexi back from the dead. We know that EJ loves Lexi and will bring her back for that reason alone. Also, EJ DiMera hates Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), and Lexi coming back from the dead could cause a lot of problems for the mayor.

Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) partner was Lexi although Abe is in love with Paulina Price now. Lexi Carver was everything. She was Abe’s first wife and Theo Carver’s (Cameron Johnson) mother. They shared a beautiful love story until his death in June 2012. Abe held Lexi in his arms until he took his last breath.

EJ was always upset that Andre was responsible for Lexi’s death as he exposed her to a cancer-causing toxin that caused an inoperable brain tumor. EJ cared about Lexi. But at the same time, he may not have completely innocent motives for waking her up.

EJ DiMera’s Power Play: Paulina Price and the DiMera CEO Position

EJ scares Paulina when he shows her the person who will bring him back. This is another reason I think it’s Lexi. If not, why show Paulina someone EJ DiMera and Dr. Rolf working with him in the lab? Also, EJ getting Lexi back might cause Theo to step out of his role DiMera CEO for good because Lexi wouldn’t want that for her son.

That would leave the job open for Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) to become CEO. That would make EJ happy forever because he always hopes to get closer to Johnny. Let me know what you think. Is Dr. Will Rolf and EJ wake up Lexi and cause trouble for Abe and Theo?
